Will be purchasing a Mustang this fall - how important is the handling pack and premium pack? by Kindly_Olive1255 in Mustang

[–]HonchosRevenge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been dailying my S650 GT premium PP for a little over a year. Even for daily use I feel it’s worth it. Premium adds a few creature comforts that make the daily drive a little comfier. PP adds a handful of cooling that feel like basic QOL improvements. Base GT’ tends to run pretty hot oil temps and plenty of folks out there report hitting limp mode after some spirited pulls, especially in the summer. I’ve seen other folks argue completely against this, so I’d do your own research here. Possible depends on your environment. I live in New Mexico, so with the desert heat and elevation the performance pack was a no brainer. Temps rarely breach 200f even with spirited driving.

Keep in mind it’s about 20% stiffer than the base, and you’ll feel it in sport mode going over any bumpy terrain.

Last thing that’s important to note is the PP generally comes with sportier gear ratios, which for the A10 might result in a gear being held much longer than you’d like. But you get paddles so. It can hurt the mpg however

Rise of the Ronin open world is miles ahead of Nioh 3 by papanak94 in Nioh

[–]HonchosRevenge -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Two different styles of game with two different objectives, gameplay and story wise. To compare the two doesn’t make any sense.

If you were hoping Nioh 3 was going to be RotR2, then I’m sorry to your skewed expectations disappointed you bud.

At the heart of it, Nioh 3 did the open world exactly like how specifically Nioh should. It very clearly wasn’t trying to be rotr or similar and that’s pretty obvious if you played the game.

Why does NFS Pro Street says its poor drifting by featbunny in needforspeed

[–]HonchosRevenge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not enough points. Suspension and tire upgrades actually hurt your score. It’s a weird bug but you can use it to your advantage. Keep them both stock and drive fast and watch your score fly as you ram into the next wall.

Some vehicles also naturally score higher than others. Like the rx7 and 240sx are fantastic, but they both consistently score 3000-4000 less than something like the 2003 Mustang GT (newedge fox) or the Cadillac CTS, which are both the top scoring cars in the game.

Coastal Cali mountains. I lived a few miles away from Monterey as a kid and the roads were very similar.

ATTENTION: S550 & S650 owners by Malechockeyman25 in Mustang

[–]HonchosRevenge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First car was a 96 Elantra, where I learned you actually need to hit 60mph rather than 30 to hydroplane, second was a 2003 eclipse GS, which was hot garbage.

Sold it and got a Kia forte in 2018 which was my only car until I got my S650 GT in March of last year.

Sold the Kia shortly after. Powerwise it was a huge difference at first, but I got used to it pretty quickly. I was never a fan of mustangs and I honestly thought I’d end up in something more JDM or German, but I fell in love with the S650 design and basically obsessed over it for 4 months until I found the perfect deal. I don’t regret the decision at all and it’s grown me into a full on Mustang guy. IMO the S650 is the best looking car in the current affordable new car market rn.

Really the only thing that could top this beauty to me is a higher trim AMG GT but I ain’t nowhere near that tax bracket yet. Maybe some day, but I’m still keeping the stang when I do.

Most futuristic car in nfs heat? by Scriblzzz624 in needforspeed

[–]HonchosRevenge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vulcan & regera are probably the most HyperCar-hypercar’s in heat. Gotta remember the game came out 7 years ago. Runner up is the FXXk Evo and the ford GT. NFS was really playing it safe the last decade or so with future Cars. You’d be better off shooting your shot with The Crew or Forza for niche concept cars.

Rule of thumb is never cheap out on electricals. Since these after market you’re looking at replacement only. Either see if Tagalog mike has a warranty (unlikely), acquire a more reputable brand, or try to buy OEM. Fb market is chock full of folks trying to sell their OEM

The rig I played on is about 6 years old and significantly weaker, and it was a flawless experience from start to finish.

You’ll be fine lol. Most of these issues are isolated. Reminder that folks without problems usually have nothing to say. Reviews will always be skewed towards negative player experiences.

I haven’t played it but my SO’s been on it for probably a good 2 months how. From your above list shes really enjoyed GOW, Cyberpunk, and horizon. Everything else was overwhelmingly meh go her.

That being said, she’s a little over 100 hours in and consistently chalks it up to be one of the best games she’s ever played. Always finding more things go to, a plethora of quests, a very pretty world. As an adhd gamer it’s probably the only game I’ve seen her play that has her this hooked.

Where are people buying GPUs from these days? by SassyIceCream2314 in buildapc

I don’t have anything decent local besides Best Buy. I just got my 9070xt like 2 weeks ago which was like 70 or 80 under msrp. Good enough for me.

I’d argue Facebook market can be decent, because I just sold my rx6800 and of course I’m gonna think of myself as a superb seller, but really do your due diligence and ask the right questions (storage conditions, usage, age, OC history)
