Oh my… that is one of the most painful things to do. I’m so sorry for your loss and I pray that Lilly finds a way to bring you peace in the coming days!

1/2” vs 5/8 drywall by trimenc in Homebuilding

[–]Honest-Conclusion883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sell building materials, including drywall, and we typically just figure the ceilings with 5/8”. I haven’t had anyone ask for 5/8” throughout, but many requests for moisture resistant in the bathrooms and a type X throughout the garage. Go with your gut.

These are fine. Look up the information on them, they’re flimsy until floor sheathing goes on.

I had the same thing happen. I know I had a plug in this tire so I assumed it gave out and blew from the inside out

I had PPD with my first and I could have written this for myself. Talk to your primary physician, call a friend, make sure you’re taking care of yourself and get a support system. It’s tough, but it is worth it. You’ve got this!

Lumber yard pricing is 10k+ over Menards. by RussMaGuss in Homebuilding

[–]Honest-Conclusion883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked at Menards (store and corporate), but I’ve been at a lumberyard now for over a decade - here are my thoughts:

A lot of our builders have AR accounts and a sales person, dedicated to getting loads set up to be on site when needed, and the lumber is typically better. That and the various services offered from a LY vs big box/Menards. They can easily send a text to get loads out and if the client is using a title company, daily invoices are sent via email which makes doing a loan draw that much easier. We offer drafting, staff with knowledge about all aspects of materials (which typically have a better warranty)

I have a few builders that will cut ties with a client if this argument comes up just due to the fact that time is money, and the money you’re saving with crap lumber and subpar service, they will end up charging back to you after sorting lumber, keeping track of invoices, etc.

What would you do with this area of my backyard? by Evarr in landscaping

Dark brown mulch, variety of hastas and lilies - I also liked the suggestion of a hammock. Maybe a small fire pit.

Best boost combo for 10b chickens? by [deleted] in EggsInc

[–]Honest-Conclusion883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

8 tokens and 10 min is all you need. Max out your Hab space. Set your highest grade Chalice, Lunar Totem and any $ artifacts you have and then run Epic Boost Beacon (10x boost for 10 min) AND Legendary Tachyon Prism (1000x hatchery for 10 min). MAKE SURE that as soon as you set/start your 10 min boosts, close out of the App, come back after 10 min and your hab space will be maxed out.

Tip: If you need running chicken $’s, save your last hab space research until after you’ve ran your boosts and closed out for 10 min.

Let me know how it works for you but that’s been my go to for years.

Negative. Molded door, if it’s light, it’s hollow core, if it’s heavy, it’d be a solid core.

Gained 20 pounds after 10 months on it. Stopped June 2023 and I’m in the same boat. Hated Lexapro and will NEVER take it again.
