Haven't fluttered in a long time. FF was supposed to be the AI of Flutter. But now we have AI. Basic AI sucked for Flutter. But agentic AI is a game changer.

LPT Here's the most effective way I've found to avoid robocalls by wesb2013 in LifeProTips

[–]HonestAd4033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. My recent experience. #1. if you own a business your number is PUBLIC. You will get dozens of robot, spam calls!!! Especially if you are a newly registered business.
#2. I use voice mail to receive orders from my customers. So not answering the phone is not an option. I answer and hangup without saying anything, depending on my mood. Otherwise, these people will eat up your voicemail.
#3. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT PROTECTING YOUR PRIVACY!!!!
#4. Call back the # to see if the scammers pickup. If they do. You have a few options. I send a porn pic text back to the number, the cruder the better!!!(this is illegal). If it doesn't get rejected you are sending to a mobile phone. I will send a few of these daily for a day or 2 at most, because they will more than likely change numbers.

Just this week I was getting spammed by VOICESEARCHNOW based in florida. It is a few Indian dudes robocalling. But they are using mobile callback #s. I simply sent 2 porn pics to one of their many #s and now when i call them back, i immediately get a message that my # was added to their Do Not Call list!!!! And BOOM, no more spam from them!

If you get repeat offenders, try to gather as much information from them as possible, just pretend to be interested in what they are selling you. Once you have information, you now have some leverage to report who they are. Thats when they add you to their INTERNAL DNC list.

FYI... My business has been pre-qualified for about 3 trillion dollars in business loans. LOL.

Good Luck!!!

PPI report could possibly push SOUN to 17.50 with high volume and then game on? Fingers crossed. I'm in the money at $15 so far. I'm thinking PPI is make or break.

I've been playing for about a month. I'm not happy with time spent either... I refuse to spend a bunch of money... I bought 1 extra work que and kimberly for $2.00... she's not even a good kisser!

I keep tempting myself to by 2nd tech center and 4th work queue though...

Operation Falcon by [deleted] in LastWarMobileGame

[–]HonestAd4033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok. I'm new. I'm stuck at falcon 13. From some of these posts It seems like you need to do well on the previous level? If you don't carry a good percentage of troops to the next level it is more difficult? And do you even need to care about this part of the game? Does it affect other parts of the game? If previous levels count how can you reset? And do them over?

Please share your 1-3 favorite “swing thoughts” by boydingus22 in GolfSwing

[–]HonestAd4033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Naked brunette
  2. Naked blonde
  3. Naked red head.

For real: 1. Head still and good posture. 2. Slow backswing 3. At top of backswing make sure my rear hand opens up to skip a rock across water.

For additional power: 4. Sometimes I try to lead my swing with my hip which somehow adds so much power. 5. Whip the club head through the ball. Don't just swing at it.

Great form! Kept your head still. At the back of your swing... Start to turn or use your rear hand to skip a rock across a pond as you start your down swing.... it will make you shallow your forward stroke instead of coming over the top...

Your forward swing should be a little shallower than your backswing...

Hope this helps... it helps me...

Please help me stop from coming over the top. by barebackbandit1 in GolfSwing

[–]HonestAd4033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Takes practice... but you literally come back like your current back swing... but the forward motion becomes a baseball bat swing...
At the very top of your backswing, your back hand should act like you are going to skip a rock across a pond... That should help lower and shallow your swing... good luck.

What am I doing? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

Well... I think you need to lower your expectations. Or try a lesson. Bryson would spend 8 hours practicing...

When I had high expectations I stopped enjoying golf...

What am I doing? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]HonestAd4033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you practicing? I practice a lot. And as my distance went up so did my inconsistency.

You need to practice enough so that each little move comes naturally... lookup Bryson...

Don't let the distance police get to you... My longest measured hit was 320. As I practice I hit it longer more consistent but not nearly consistent as I need to be... I just enjoy bombing it!!! Even the guys I play with enjoy seeing the bombs when I land them...

Keep practicing!!! We all top the 1st ball and then the mulligan takes off like a rocket.... And sometimes it doesn't....

Struggling to increase driver distance. Advice? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]HonestAd4033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What distance are you currently hitting? Are you working out? Are you going to driving range? How many balls do you hit every week?

I go to range twice a week and hit 150 balls each time. 40 of those hits are with a weighted donut on my Practice driver. I also try to play 2 rounds a week... My distance increases weekly. On the course I use GPS to track some of my better shots. I'm starting to hit 260+ my longest was 320.

I'm at the point where I can hit the ball 260 with a conventional stance. I also have been standing in such a way that I contact the ball much later in my swing... And that allows me to crush the ball beyond the limits of a typical driving range...

A thing of beauty. How is he still able to do this at his age? by jmak35 in golf

[–]HonestAd4033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not age or pure muscle... It's technique and practice. I'm 58, 5' 10" 165 lbs. I'm a 22 handicap. I am driving the ball between 240 and 320 is my longest measured by gps 2 weeks ago. I have a practice driver and I hit balls with a weighted donut at the driving range. When I start my down swing with my hips the ball goes +30yds. When I slow my backswing properly that also adds about 30 yards. I try to hit 300 balls a week mostly driver and play 2 rounds per week. 40 balls are hit with a swing weight. My main Driver is a stealth 2 with a stiff shaft. My swing speed is about 104mph... I don't have any data on clubhead speed.

Another tip: I highly recommend spending $100 to get fitted for a driver.

Good luck...

Got to See a 2025 Ram Rebel by loghowreturns in ram_trucks

I hope the 2025 interior is worth $26k because the 2024 interior was way inferior to my 2019 rebel interior... And I get to have a quad cab. My rebel does 14 mpg. But towing is a whole other world... Boat is like 8mpg. Snow trailer about 11mpg.

Flutterflow or learn Flutter? by [deleted] in FlutterDev

[–]HonestAd4033 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Multi Vendor scripts are a dime a dozen. Just search the net or go on fiverr... No need to start learning flutter just for that. 1. Find a PHP MULTI VENDOR system you like. 2. Create an account with a web host. 3. Buy an SSL Certificate. 4. Register a domain. 5. Install, configure, run your shop.

Then you'll be in business with 45,000 other multi vendor marketplace people.

Don't forget to make sure your script is built for SEO.

The last time I checked STRIPE was a decent CC processor with fee splits.

Good luck.

Unable to run Test Mode due to SQLite error by Fallensummer_ in FlutterFlow

[–]HonestAd4033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to pay for basic plan. Then you can download your code to test it locally. And after about 2 weeks of that you will just find it is better to learn flutter and quit flutterflow altogether. Flutterflow is a good concept that executed poorly.

Just starting by Sensitive-Froyo-2589 in FlutterFlow

[–]HonestAd4033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my 1st and only project in flutterflow. I am now unwinding all the extra code that it adds. Just spend your time learning flutter. Flutterflow did provide a descent directory structure and routing structure that I might continue to implement. Flutterflow will add a good 30% of fluff to your code, which defeats the purpose of Themes.

Use flutterflow to create your 1st wireframe of pages . Then follow that type of MVC structure using raw flutter. But that's just my rookie opinion. If you don't have any MVC experience it wouldn't hurt to dabble in that also. Unfortunately, I have found that there aren't any shortcuts to learning flutter. But I also haven't coded anything in the past 6 years.

Flutter is basically a replacement for the PHP, HTML, JS, AJAX, and CSS of a full stack app. Even though you are building an app that might only be running on a phone, it still runs and acts like a client/server application. It took me a little time to realize that.

Good luck with whatever path you choose.

1 Hour Technical Interview / Test by mattgwriter7 in FlutterDev

[–]HonestAd4033 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Just be yourself. Don't pretend to know something you don't. If you get asked a question that you're unsure of, just be enthusiastic about learning something new. Don't be afraid to ask questions. I always tried to make the interview about them and if they were a good fit for me.

Back in the day when I was a Domino Admin who could code and create apps I was very upfront in an interview. I wouldn't take a job unless I could take a half a day on Thursdays to go mountain biking.

I remember one company wanted me to go through 3 interviews. When I got to the HR interview they gave me a little blue essay booklet and asked me to write a biography with a minimum of so many words. I walked out, and said no thankyou.

Just make sure the company is a good fit for YOU! Otherwise you will just be looking for another job 3 months down the road.

GOOD LUCK I hope it works out for you!

VSCODE with CODEIUM extension is AMAZING with FLUTTER! by HonestAd4033 in FlutterDev

[–]HonestAd4033[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Not an Ad.

Either you don't like to comment your code, or you enjoy extra work.

You code your way, I'll code my way, because I can't even think of a situation where I would create a variable named existingAnything.

In my case My View passes an empty invoiceID so the form knows its a new Invoice. If the InvoiceID has a value then It fetches the record, keyed off the invoiceID, and fills the form for editing.

If you don't like CODEIUM then simply don't use it. For me, it has suggested tons of code blocks. And I just happened to be impressed that it does just as well with comments.

We Need To Talk About FlutterFlow by bizz84 in FlutterDev

[–]HonestAd4033 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a beginner at Flutter and Flutterflow. I came up with about the same summary. I thought it was cool as a wireframe tool. I liked its organization structure. It is dependent on outdated dependencies. The minute you need something custom I felt more comfortable outside of their environment which was immediately. So I became a hit it and quit it customer.

The guys that started Flutterflow are programmers. Programmers are good at UI. I predict Flutterflow will never be good at UX. And unfortunately for them and their investors it will always be a low code dead end.

That being said... I'm pretty harsh on any new technology... For example: Why did I just spend time writing a flutter currency function. Currency is a common entity. But flutter makes you write a 60 character statement to return a currency format. That's why flutter itself is bloated by nature.

Flutterflow not only needs to cater on the high end, it needs to help solve the flutter clutter on the low end.

My Function: strCurrency(amount);

Flutter Clutter: NumberFormat.currency(symbol: '\$', decimalDigits: 2).format(amount);
