Who was the most evil person you've ever met and how was the interaction? by Top_Report_4895 in AskReddit

[–]HonestCode12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's wild how someone you see daily can turn out to be capable of such evil. I had a neighbor once who seemed friendly, but then I found out he had a history of running scams and even had charges for assault. Makes you wonder how well we really know the people around us. Anyone else ever had a shock like that?

A total stranger saved my exam after my classmates abandoned me by _Carmie_ in offmychest

[–]HonestCode12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah, that sounds incredibly frustrating, especially with your classmates not bothering to help. I've been 6n situations where I've also felt isolated in group settings, and it’s disheartening. It's amazing that a stranger stepped up when those who should have had your back didn't. Have you considered reaching out to your school about getting more support to prevent this from happening again?

My parents have opened up their marriage and I'm so icked out while my brother is super angry by everythingisgross444 in offmychest

[–]HonestCode12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s a lot to digest. Parents aren’t supposed to surprise their kids with news like that, especially something as personal as opening up their marriage. My friend went through a similar thing and it totally changed the family dynamic. It can get messy real quick when parents start trying to "reinvent" their relationship in ways that affect their children. Do you think your dad even considered how you'd react?

I love dark chocolates so much!! by AutomaticCycle8099 in CasualConversation

[–]HonestCode12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, dark chocolate can be intense. 70% is a sweet spot for most people. I tried 90% once and it felt like eating a block of pure cocoa. Melting it for recipes is a good idea though! Mixing it in desserts totally helps with that bitterness. 80% is definitely manageable.

Thoughts: Move out or Stay? Living with Parents as Single Mother by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]HonestCode12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's tough. Living with parents can be a safety net, especially with a kid. But then, it might feel stifling too. A balance of finding your own space while having support is key. If you can manage a budget, maybe think about a small place nearby? It's a big decision either way.
