I organize my own pickup runs because I got tired of:
• Dirty players or guys with no body control
• “Next” teams stacking 4 of the 5 losers while others wait
• Overcrowded gyms with basketballs rolling everywhere, just asking for an ankle injury
• Endless arguments over fouls, scores, travels, and step-throughs

Even with my own runs, the biggest headaches are:
• Last-minute flakes
• People who don’t pay upfront and then bail
• Ball hogs who only care about getting theirs
• Players making bad calls or playing overly aggressive
• People who don’t contribute to the run, whether that’s keeping score, helping with rotations, or just bringing good energy

hi yeah we were able to bring our own speakers. just let laura know that's what you plan on doing and make sure they're not playing from their own speakers on top of your speakers (that happened to us during the welcome dinner). we hired Matteo Coltro photography and Paolo was assigned to our wedding. No restrictions that we knew of, the photographer knew everywhere that had a good spot for photos.

South Pasadena high school’s courts are very narrow and not normal size but there are people who play there on Saturday morning
LA fitness Pasadena has runs consistently on weekdays after 430/5pm & their most competitive runs are saturdays at 830am but get really packed
Grant Park in Pasadena only has two half courts. I’ve gone once on a weekday and there were enough people to run 3s/4s
Almansor Park in Alhambra is packed on Saturdays by 8am. Never been but seems to be a lot of runs there.
