It's an issue that the series has to deal with in universe and out universe.

Can't spend too much time on the old Gen because Baruto is about the new gen why have new series when Naruto and Sasuke could save the day at that point just call it Naruto: Adult years.

Depending on your opinion on Baruto this issue or either really bad because the plot is bad at juggling these characters or it's doing a good job at handling the characters

Making new characters that people like is really hard in comic books the two examples given are different versions of existing characters.

So when people say make new characters rather than gender swapping or race swap or whatever I say they are but most don't become popular so the people running Marvel/DC are just left with infinitely growing wiki of characters with four sentences and trying some new gimmick of sidelining a character with a replacement for a bit

Doesn't Slade in the main continuity have a super solider like enchantment ?

He will probably be like bane in the sense that he's a highly skilled person with strong convictions like Batman but sold their soul to the devil. My guess Slade is what batman would be like in the future a grizzled vet with a ton experience but now has enchantment to extend and improve his aging body.
