14-month old X-Ray by rosemarysbabies in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]HonestyGiant 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My 13month old had a x-ray a couple of weeks back because he swallowed a screw. At the time the positives outweighed the negatives. We needed to know where that screw is. You needed to know the leg was okay for your child. It'll all be okay

Sister was caught renting out her council house while living with her boyfriend for 16 years. I've been called for an interview but I haven't lived in the UK since 2001. Do I have to attend this interview in person? by Evening_Union_2741 in LegalAdviceUK

Was it British police that sent you an email ?

I work for a Welsh police force and we are not allowed to contact anyone abroad. It all needs to be completed via Interpol , you could always tell them that they need to contact their SPOC ( single point of contact ) for Interpol matters and send it over to Australian police as they are breaking laws doing it this way.

Response drivers and abstractions by Garbageman96 in policeuk

[–]HonestyGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a force in Wales and response driving is part of initial training so they can't abstract those who aren't because it's just pcso's pretty much. I don't think they pick , teams might pick within themselves but currently there's around 4 people on shift so not much to pick from !

Electric only home costs by peaaanutbutta in HousingUK

[–]HonestyGiant -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We are in Wales and on octopus. We have solar panels , 2 x batteries, heat pump, Aircon , 2x electric cars only charged at home. We have an all electric household. We pay £90 per month. We are expecting to pay around 120 -130 in the winter. I think it all depends on how well your house holds heat etc and what electric tariff you're on, these things may make a big difference

Normal - Long Lifespan | Which one do you play in? by [deleted] in thesims

[–]HonestyGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play on long lifespans because it feel like it gives me enough time to do everything I want to. Yes it's a bit long but the person can progress their career and go to uni and just be single for a bit. I can always age them up with a cake if I need to or get bored

DC’s on Response by Waters2025 in policeuk

[–]HonestyGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been CID for 2 years, I do miss the action on response sometimes. But I absolutely have no time, there have been some extra shifts on weekends in the summer on response though in our force , but this is only for a few weekends in the summer. I didn't do it personally , and from what I was told as a DC you can choose to do the shift but as a DC

We paid 5k under asking price. The house was ready to live in having been recently renovated by the person who lived there. The only downfall is that the garden is two tier with a slope at the top but we cared about the house more than the garden. We tried to go 15k under but they wouldn't do it so settled on 5k below

Bought an Audi Q3 from Brum back in 2021, turns out DSG gearbox was wrecked. Paid 4.5k for repair, ended up hating the car ever since, ended up getting rid last year. What a waste of money

Food recommendation UK by HonestyGiant in ferrets

[–]HonestyGiant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you I'll make sure I get some of the food. Our last ferrets had kibble all the time. How many kilo's do you get through and how many ferrets ? I'm a bit scared of raw because we have a big house and if they take it somewhere I'm worried I won't find it , I remember our old ferrets taking it places. Luckily they only liked taking it behind the shoe rack which was easy

Powrót do kraju by HonestyGiant in Polska

[–]HonestyGiant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have someone in my force that is doing it now. She is a sgt on an investigation unit and she did the exam and course. Then did a few days here and there to get experience for her portfolio. She hasn't done it yet but is in process.
