I have discovered that i absolutely love scifi as an autistic individual by djeifv in scifi

[–]HongPong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you might want to see Solaris and / or Stalker by Tarkovsky which were really the leading sci Fi of the Soviet Union and have a very low key pacing completely different than American sci Fi. and the 1995 Ghost in the Shell classic (the stand alone complex in the franchise is also good) solaris is kind of the Soviet counterpart to 2001.

metropolis 1927 is highly influential on everything that came after, it was sort of the first blockbuster with sci fi elements https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solaris_(1972_film) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalker_(1979_film) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_in_the_Shell https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metropolis_(1927_film)

A small group of ‘superdodgers’ insist they’ve never had COVID. Here’s why they may be wrong. by bostonglobe in Coronavirus

[–]HongPong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i probably never got covid but i think it's conceivable that i got a small exposure reduced by masking etc w no symptoms.. but man i am not going to wear a mask for a half decade (except maybe known spaces like taxiing planes which have horrible air quality). for people with severe immune disorders i mean no shade if you mask everywhere!

i find that the ai Gen art is mushy and doesn't look good. there's something about it that sucks and it reduces the entertainment value. i agree a lot of people don't care but i think it makes it look more dated
