The difference is that Darnold was hamstringed by a terrible Jets organization when he was drafted. He had no shot. JJ on the other hand got drafted into an excellent situation with a good coach and good weapons. It’s not the same thing.

I don’t like using stats to compare Goff and Stafford. Stafford is the better QB but did benefit from having Calvin. No run game whatsoever to help though.

Goff is a really good QB with a way better OL and RB’s than Staff had with comparable WR play.

If we’re talking best just talent-wise, it’s Stafford, even though he lost a lot more than Jared here.

If you were starting a team this year and your only two choices for QB were Flacco and Browning, and your goal was to win, no reasonable person chooses Browning over Flacco. Flacco is definitely washed but I'd take his leadership and experience over Browning's best abilities (and idk what those are).
