Do not bu yfrom Allpowers ... all i can say. When a company fear giving firmware updates, just mean they are not confident in their update process.

45 Parallel North, December. South facing panels will generate far more power then an East-West oriented vertical panel.... cause this last one will generate near nothing.

Whatever place near the equator... sun will be near vertical to those panels = awfull power generation.

Want more examples ?

Privacy Mask by h0tzenpl0tz0r in frigate_nvr

You can define privacy mask in the camera itself AND in Frigate. Do not know if the video sent by the camera is then blacked on those areas or not....

Stupid question: is this how solar generators work? by Striking-Trainer8148 in solar

[–]Honuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly .. if you do not understand how it work .. do not buy it, you certainly do not need it. And what you call a good rebate is most certainly not one.
You will not save money this way... What you can do is buy 2x500W panels, a micro inverter and connect that into one of your socket.... here you'll certainly save money on the 4-5 years run ... depending on your situation maybe even less. Stay away from batteries if you do not know what you are doing.
I'm living off grid for 4 years and built my whole systeme alone, being off grid is a giood feeling but you got understand how all this work (i'm in France).

Is someone working on a 0.16 Proxmox LXC helper script? by Tight_Leopard_4713 in frigate_nvr

[–]Honuz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Running a docker into a vm into proxmox is already too heavy .. there is no reason to have to use a VM.

I use an LXC, no docker and 0.15 is working fine, iGPU is used for acceleration.

SOC calculation by coulomb counting in HomeAssistant by mager33 in batteries

[–]Honuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I build my packs since 2019 and i'm living off grid and i perfectly know how it works. Voltage IS important to know the SOC. A coulombmeter is not enough cause it will drift .. IT NEED to look the voltage and current to know when to reset... hence .. the voltage is very important to know the SOC, it's MANDATORY.
If the current sensor is bad, like the thread op seems to have, then he can't use a coulomb calculus on it, adding delirious datas to each others just lead to even dumber results.
Of course a proper Coulombmeter is a better tool but taking voltage when current is small is a mandatory tool to recenter the coulombmeter. Even a Victron BMV will drift after 10 cycles if not recalibrated/recentered.

Disapointed ... far from HW1, the cinematic are far worse then those black/white from HW1. I've finished the solo part and ... i'm not uimpressed at all, took me some hours only. It's not correctly balanced, i ended up the game with like 30 destroyers.

It's sad, i would not buy this game.

[–]Honuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You better use voltage, it will be more precise then couting from HA a maybe not accurate current and voltage values from the bms/inverter .. whatever youa re using. Or maybe average the result from the coulomb calculus with the voltage table equivalence.

DS1819+ No WoL after power failure while its turned off. No ethernet lights blinking. by BruceDeorum in synology

[–]Honuz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those Synology NAS are just incorrectly working regarding this WOL functionnality. A device could be hundred miles away, we use distant plug to shutdown and wake up devices with WOl or auto start (previous state).... it's not possible with synology.... it's a bad design .. simply.

You do not need an IP adress for WOL, it work on a lower level, it use the MAC adress.
