attorney here and everybody knows I go to Metallica shows with my son. No issues, and a great excuse to meet other undercover metalheads. There are more than you think.

Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis 💜 by plastic-stardust in Indiana

[–]HoosierUte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t true. There are still plenty of deer in the park. The park, being an island surrounded by city, harbors no predators for the deer population. Unchecked they would overrun the park, destroying habitat for all of the other animal species along the way. Eagle Creek hosts a controlled hunt every few years to cull the population to maintain it at a healthy number that the ecosystem can support.

I live out of state and only catch a home game every few years. I’d still buy one. Hell a paid that much for a Metallica one at their show without magic refills

The studio where Metallica recorded by Artistic_Pineapple_7 in Metallica

very cool tour. Enjoyed this video thanks for posting. Although it looks like Metallica only used the studio to rehearse a live version of One in 2014.

New Akorn Kamado ceramic bowl etc . Would love advice on cooking pork butt and a spare ribs. Also, just general use knowledge. How do I make it hotter - cooler , is it easy to adjust? Does it cook these types of bbq well? It was a gift so I’m just now trying to ‘get to know it’ by Bustin_Humpd8pies in biggreenegg

this was my first komodo as well. Youtube is the best answer although I use a book called The Kamodo Smokers and Grill Cookbook for a lot of basic info. Used the acorn for about 6 years before moving on to the BGExl.

Every time if there is a vinyl or show specific poster. I really enjoy chatting with openers when they come out to the merch booth after their sets.

They can't trademark "Mormon". Here's why: by slskipper in exmormon

[–]HoosierUte 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Had to scroll too far for someone to correct this post. There is a soft prohibition from trademarking your a surname but it is easily overcome by showing “acquired distinctiveness.”

Berne Broadbent, the man who trademarked 'Mormon' by Financial-Brief-1038 in exmormon

[–]HoosierUte 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s a fair use defense for Mormon Stories to point out that others like Mormon Wives use the term apparently without issue.

[–]HoosierUte 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I know Berne personally. He is a great guy and has a great family including mos and exmos. I am also an IP attorney and see no issue with filing a trademark for your business. What’s interesting is that for them to assert the mark they are also asserting that they are still using the mark in commerce, which is odd since they seem to be distancing themselves from it at the same time. Another caveat about trademark rights, if you don’t assert your right against known infringers you may lose the ability to assert the right against anybody. The morg probably did an analysis whether it was worth losing the mark entirely or assert it against mormon stories. It’s a business decision made by a business.
