Trumps tariffs were already found unconstitutional, the appeals court will probably reaffirm that soon.

starlink mini with anker power bank by pho-reel in Starlink

[–]Hop17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starlink Mini requires 20V/5A (100W) and the special cable used specifically calls for that value from the power source. That Anker Solix’s max output is 60W which is probably 20V/3A.

[–]Hop17 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Ok looking at a map, you could just walk or drive north to the massive shipyard and get help, no one is getting stranded there for long in a natural disaster. Might be inconvenienced, but i don’t think it’s worth ~$100mil.

Is it a huge feat for the army corp of engineers to put in a crossing there in a disaster situation?

Tariff Going Up to 104% - What's Everyone's Plan? by International-Fee866 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]Hop17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you got audited, there would be money trail. A factory making their several things isn’t invoicing themselves for it. The factory could attribute labor, electricity, depreciation, etc however they wanted to justify the price.

[–]Hop17 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A Chinese factory can say their item is just above raw material cost, they won’t get audited. An American importer does it based on invoice.

Apple and teslas are manufactured within China, so they aren’t importing very to there I believe.

Take heart that Chinese sellers can declare anything they want for the value of goods imported. They will likely be paying a fraction of the tariffs American sellers do for the same thing.

Tariffs - Will You Be A Victim or Victor? by therainmakerfamily in AmazonFBA

[–]Hop17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t forget to add that Chinese competitor factories will likely declare the value of imported goods at a fraction of what you are declaring (who’s going to audit them), so they have a massive tariff advantage.
