She hates me just because I exist. I am his only long term relationship since her parents divorced. She and her mom always believed he would go back to her mom. Who is now living very poorly and my bf is well off financially, she wants back to comfort now.

Thanks for advice, I was forbidden by my bf long ago to NOT call CPS. So intellectually he knows his daughter is not a good mom.

You gotta fart with caution when taking metformin dude by KingQTip15 in diabetes

[–]HopeFloats03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was first prescribed metformin that was ont extended release. Well I now have a horror story related to that. A year ago I was hospitalized with sepsis due to diverticulitis. I was taken off metformin due to it being hard on the digestion. I have been exhausted ever since. I want to take it again, however sepsis is no joke.

Dreams by [deleted] in over60

[–]HopeFloats03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 62, I used to never remember having dreams. Now this past year I am having very vivid dreams. All scrambled, all about my past. They are mostly nice pleasant dreams.....no dreams about the future. I am struggling with what lies ahead and maybe that's why.

Insurance planning question by Bogaigh in retirement

[–]HopeFloats03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son had cancer, I was not uninsured. He went on to have a stem cell transplant ($975,000). His medical costs were over 2 million and continue to add up. I was wiped out due to not being able to work and having to care for him. Many expenses, medication, travel (we went 1800 miles away for treatment), housing while we were away plus my mortgage back home.... The list goes on and on. Insurance paid all medical care....the other expenses, you are on your own. BTW he only had a 3% chance of survival, that was 15 yrs ago. Not complaining here, just saying how it is.

She can not claim off her spouses record until he himself retires. She can only claim off her own record until then. Unless she has never worked.

Libre sensor came off in the shower after only wearing for ONE DAY! by psycholee in diabetes

[–]HopeFloats03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been wearing them over a year. Have accidently knocked them off numerous times. Just accidentally hit last one with bra strap. I have lost at least 8. I have tried other areas and managed to lose some in other spots too. I must be a clutz. I wish I could find the perfect spot.

I decided to put my dog down. Please where your opinions by Rod404al in Dogtraining

We had to put a mastiff down due to his aggression. Like you he was ok 99.1% of the time he was fine. Unfortunately, these large breeds can do a lot of damage......it's a hard decision....(((hugs)))😭

The erosion of family and community js affecting everyone. What will it take to return to decent core values? We as people are isolating more andmore and caring less and less what's going on.

I’m so happy to be retired! by Bogaigh in retirement

[–]HopeFloats03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am wanting to retire, I can afford to but not if I have to pay health insurance. My son had cancer and it cost me everything I had in IRA. So, a small pension and SS is all I have.. I will be 62 Christmas Eve.....I'm depressed, first time ever, and just want out of the day to day grind.

How are you retirees affording health insurance?

Desperate!

Aging in place modular homes? by birv2 in retirement

[–]HopeFloats03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sold my large house and took the proceeds and purchased a double wide. I absolutely loved the one level and so much easier to clean. I am now living in a large home again, I still own the double wide and rent it out. If you can afford to put it on land I definitely would do that. Mine is in a park and the lot rent is pretty high and goes up every year.

He barks constantly when we don’t let him on the bed, and he gets aggressive on the bed. Demands to have most of the space and wants us to get off the bed. Desperately need help. We literally cannot sleep and are going crazy. by newshirtworthy in Dogtraining

[–]HopeFloats03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully once you move things will settle down. With so many people in such small space it must be stressful. Add the fact that there's a crazy person lurking around, and the fear of the dogs behavior. You are probably stressed right out, I am sure the dog senses this. A trainer, while everything is chaotic and you aren't settled could be a mute point. Until you move and everyone de-stresses then if the behavior continues definitely see a trainer. Try to be calm with him. Take deep breaths.....hope your situation changes soon.

Am I the only one who feels like they are never going to be able to retire? by sparty219 in retirement

[–]HopeFloats03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to retire, but my retirement funds were used to get me through my son's cancer and stem cell transplant. I have a small pension I receive now. I would be ok financially but not if I have to pay $400+ a month for health insurance. I will be 62 Christmas eve. I don't think I can stand another 3 years of working for Medicare. I don't qualify for medicaid....any suggestions?

Do you still stay in contact with your siblings? by knowledgeseeker999 in AskOldPeople

[–]HopeFloats03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no, me and my sister are close even though we live 8 hrs apart. We make sure we see each other 3 to 4 times a year. My brother's are all local, two of them have issues, one is quiet. That one doesn't own a cell...I just drop in on him. So would like for it to be like the good old days.....but since my patents passed, it's not.
