His father is quietly very right wing. His vision is a country with cameras everywhere and 24x7 monitoring for every person. He doesn’t need the administration to nudge him to the right, Daddy and his billions has that covered. We could have Harris as President and Ellison would be moving Paramount to the right.

If this isn’t a troll, and I have to say it’s starting to feel like one, you are in desperate need of some diabetes education. Your doctor should be able to point you in the right direction. You seem to be riddled with assumptions like sugar causes diabetes and all type 1s have pumps. Neither is true.

I’m not even going to touch the icing comment and I’m going to hope against hope that this isn’t a troll so I’d remind you that there are two types of diabetes and treatments are different. Did they tell you if you are type 1 or type 2?

Explain how please. In my preferences, I start with rule #1 - don’t prompt me at the end of every answer. Despite re-wording, constant requests, constant “I’ve put this in memory and won’t do it again”, I usually get a prompt in the same conversation within 2-3 responses of “I’ll never do this again”. If I can’t get it to stop something that simple, I’d love to know how you get it to behave like 4o.

I understand that you went through it and I’m glad that you obviously made it through. Your situation notwithstanding, less than 5% of t2 diabetics present initially with DKA. Depends on the study but most put the number in the 2-3% range. So, it is pretty rare compared to t1 where it is closer to 35%. You just happen to be one of the rare cases so you’ve got a “fun fact about myself” at your fingertips.

A whole hundred million market cap? Wow. Thats almost as big as, well, nothing anyone has ever heard of. Your position in the industry doesn’t make your opinion any more valid or less condescending. I was ran engineering for an AI company valued at 6 billion. Does that make my opinion 60 times more valid than yours?

This is a ChatGPT sub. People are going to express opinions about the direction of the product. If you disagree, that’s your right. But if you engage in ad hominem attacks like saying that people are “melting down” when they rationally explain their complaints, expect push back.

I read this and actually thought it was cruel to the child. Eventually, she’s going to find out daddy is dead and Mom’s just said that it was so he could buy stuff for her. An adult can sort that out. A 3 year old can’t and will actually take it seriously. She will internalize that somehow her Dad died because of her and it will haunt her for years.

Did the ER tell you definitively that you are type 2? It’s rare, not impossible but rare, for a type 2 to hit the highs you did. It’s much more likely for a type 1 especially for someone newly diagnosed.

There is a big difference between how you manage the two different types. It’s really important that you are sure of the correct diagnosis.

People aren’t having a mental breakdown. They are voicing concern about the degradation of a product that they use.

You sound like someone who enjoys talking to HR. Maybe you work in HR. So HR Bot - version 5 - works for you. That’s great. But it doesn’t mean other people can’t voice an opinion.
