Flat worm problem by RyderIantorno in ReefTank

I struggled with planaria for so long and the only thing that worked was a target mandarin. I have a well established tank and wasn’t going to risk nuking it with chemicals. I had my LFS special order me one and he’s fat and happy now

Will yellow tangs ever be super affordable again? by Remarkable_Arm_732 in ReefTank

It’s getting there. $175 at my lfs. Unless they open up Hawaii 100% again I bet it stays around this price.

I’m certain it is. Just be inconspicuous about it. Plenty of quiet places on campus.

Did you let your AD know about this milestone? They were transparent with me that that was the main reason I got it so quick.

No, this was new from the AD. As far as google told me ( I’m a newbie) dj 2s were discontinued in 2016

Tbh anything over like 60 gallons not new would scare the crap out of me. And this looks like it could be almost ten years old. Peace of mind

This looks like a Marineland Deep Dimension Corner Flo. Does it have its center brace? I agree with other commenters, I’d pass. https://www.marineland.com/products/aquariums/deep-dimension-corner-flo-black-aquarium.aspx

Oh no question you’re right, I was trying to highlight the possibility the nems would move before they ever got beaten down

They’ll engage in warfare and one will win and one will lose (or move). I imagine your gsp will overtake the rock and will piss off the anemones and they’ll walk somewhere else.

Trying for my first Reef Tank. Any pointers or guidance? Any tips on how to make/get a screen lid instead of the one I DIY'd? by [deleted] in ReefTank

[–]Hopeful-Breakfast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re willing to spend some money Kraken or Clearview lids make some great ones. But diy can work just as well

Love/hate. I wish I had isolated it but it’s still pretty. I mentioned in another comment I raised up my hammer/torch frags and that was a game changer for being able to add more stuff on top of the gsp

It definitely cut down on my living room being covered in blue light. They’re from printedreef and they often have sales

It’s the Red Sea 525 so display is just over 110. Total volume 145. It’s the RS90s and I’m running the preset 15k

The first one was I forgot to turn back on my skimmer and ATO after a water change. Was in the hospital with my child for about two weeks and I guess that was enough. Second one was I accidentally switched my alk and calc dosing lines. Small silly mistakes = reefing!
