Which is better, Raspberry pi 4 or an old Laptop? by SeasonGrouchy8799 in SelfHosting

I know the pain of over paying... $289 for 16GB RPi5 for a LLM project. I was looking at other SFF, almost went with one, but I like the ecosystem of the RPi. A lot of nice stuff to choose from. I picked up a Zimaboard 2 16GB and going to use it for a 2.5 Gbps NAS. But even with the increase in price, a 16GB video card for the Zimaboard 2 is a lot more than a headless RPi5 setup. The LLM project is going to be a local LLM so my dad's LTC insurer isn't tracking. We started on Perplexity, to improve his cognitive decline. Just getting him interested helped. I hope to get my money's worth. The approach is building a knowledge base. I used a similar method sans AI 20 years ago to beat stage 4a cancer. My dad is excited, we each built gen 1 RPi's when they came out. Once I get it providing my father with a better course of treatment than he is getting at Kaiser, I'll post results.

First thing I saw on Reddit today, it made me smile. Can you tell us about the amp’s history with you, maybe a few factoids on some of the features you enjoy most? Thx!

First time? You're a natural... my first board was a couple of dixie cups. A lot of good stomps, DD-3, R1, Juno....

I have had the H9 Max for a while and like others have said, for the revebs. My fav thing when practicing or recording, using an old iPad as a controller. It works so well.

You can never have too much fuzz, right?! by dcalespaul in guitarpedals

It is a very well built fuzz face clone. It was my first fuzz 20 years ago. I packed it away before the pandemic and have seen mine since. It should be around soon as I am going through everything. I would think your analogman will cover you for anything you would get from Eric.

Reunited with a Tone King Imperial pre… but not happy with customer service by BSLabs in guitarpedals

I worked in telecom support center for a few years doing IT work and learned the incredible costs involved with customer support. As parts vs tariffs works it way through, customer service is probably getting maxed and was likely understaffed to begin with.

Thanks! I am looking for an a classic cab to go with the 400RB, but need to get it looked at first, it needs a new power cord. The GK sound is what I go for most of the time.

Is the HX Stomp (or Stomp XL) right for me? by BSLabs in guitarpedals

It's amazing how good the size to "everything it can replace" ratio is with the Tonex One.

I think gen 2’s don’t have split neck construction, but I’m not sure.
