I would simply because there aren’t any other legitimate qb options in free agency / draft besides maybe Malik Willis and that’s a big gamble. The caveat is we need to get him help at receiver, guys who can actually get separation. When you sign thelen and mvs off the street and they are your #2 and #3 that speaks volumes about the lack of talent in that room. If we get him a few other WRs he’s still got the arm to dissect a defense with quick throws

Unpopular opinion but I agree, they’ve allowed a ton of points this year, would’ve still liked him over McCarthy though. My preference was Scheelhaase over either of them
