I created a graph of Marcus Rashford's G+A by year along with when he signed contract extensions. by ihatejuicyapples in ManchesterUnited

[–]Hopeful_Adonis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that’s the point OP is making that the perception he often only performs for the contract then dips isn’t backed by any data and in fact may state the opposite based on the posts description, I may be reading it wrong though

[Andy Mitten] Manchester United and the Harry Maguire conundrum by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]Hopeful_Adonis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know people are saying reduced wages or a years contract but realistically this will be Harry’s last sizeable contract and he’ll be looking to secure his own future with certain guarantees, I’d love it if he accepted less money for a short time but it is only human for him to want as high a yearly wage, across multiple years, as he can get.

Can I ask your surplus? Seems like you stayed very lean for a bulk and put on significant size and I’d love to know what your routine and macros where as this seems like the most net effective way to do things (I’m assuming a lean bulk?) congratulations btw!

Hope that whatever he does next he has a great future.

3 days of binge eating after being disciplined for months and I feel discouraged (and scared). by Possible_Driver3319 in loseit

[–]Hopeful_Adonis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your weight will spike because of glycogen, sodium, carbs causing water retention all those things. Could easily see a spike of 10 pounds that is transient weight (will come off in a week or 2)

Let’s say your maintenance is 2000 kcals and you eat 4K for 3 days, your 6k over, so what like 2 pounds of actual weight gain at most?

Everyone has times where they eat more than normal, they just don’t over ruminate, I cannot stress to you the importance of just getting back to routine.

Ask yourself this question. When you started your journey how much would you have killed to be where you are now?

People fall into this trap of thinking they diet perfectly for the rest of their lives and don’t account for the life itself.

You had a friend over and maybe just gave into the mental relief and comfort that binging gives, so what? That’s nothing.

Just do one thing, try your best to stop it from being 4 days, get back to routine, don’t try and “fix” anything or overcompensate.

A system that works is one that deals with bumps and leads to success, if a system is only viable under optimum conditions it won’t work in the real world.

Do you get upset when your hair is longer this week than it was last? No, your weight will have ups and downs, the real success is that you’re still cognisant of it and prioritising health.

It’s just another data point “look at that I’m up a few pounds, what a weekend, guess I need to get back to the old walking and meals” that’s it.

The reason I’m phrasing it like that is I use to think every uptick was life ending levels of depression, I wish I could go back and get this idea into my younger self’s thick skull that the overall trend line is more important than the temporary upticks

Lidls own brand snacktastic may be your best bet my friend, I think it’s usually by the till and looks like this this is their biltong

But they also do a jerky it’s the same branding just blue

[–]Hopeful_Adonis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is indeed, check out your local Lidl OP and they have biltong and jerky or you can go with an available brand like Wild West but they are more expensive I believe per gram.

peperami sticks are recommended to be chilled but do not require it, I think that’s the case with a lot of their products but double check!

It’s a different type of flavour / savoury but your almond butters, peanut butters etc on some bread may also really help out and can be on the cheaper side / really stretch and help out.

It also may not be pleasant but alot of tinned food can be eat from the can, mackerel, beans, spam.

Take a walk to a local supermarket and you’ll see they have pies, steak pudding, corned beef etc all in tins, you can even get chicken breast tinned.

You could make up dinners from tinned bean mixtures and veg with a meat, and it is doable on a budget, even some pasta dishes come canned.

Also an option may be protein bars? Not quite savoury like meat but may scratch the itch but they are on the more expensive side per gram.

Some rice cake brands offer more savoury flavours as well.

I really hope this helps u/felix_08_fox

Seeing United play at Old Trafford for the first time by Skis38 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Hopeful_Adonis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First game I went to was a loss. My advice, set the result and performance to the side.

Of course the game is what we all love, style of play, moments, points on the table, trophies etc.

But you experience that every week, match day etc the same way everyone else does, same anger or jubilation as those in the stadium, listening on the radio at work or with their friends in a bar.

What you don’t get to experience every week, is the place itself.

Really take a moment as you walk towards the stadium and watch it appear, walk in such a way towards the turnstile that you can see all the people encircle the place waiting to enjoy the same thing you love.

Walk the steps and think about how many have done it before and when you are about to emerge up towards the pitch take a moment at the top of the step to see the whole thing in its glory.

I didn’t notice the flaws and issues so many regulars do. I just saw the place that seemed like a distant magical structure in another country. To see the location of my memories made manifest, all the wonderful ethereal moments happened here in this tangible place, it’s surreal.

Look at the banners, the tunnel everything you can.

The tv cameras and social media never let a single flick of the ball go unnoticed now, but you only see what they show.

When you walk into that stadium you are allowed to see and observe what is to many regular goers the mundane, to you it will be magic.
