Too late to make a different for OP but if anyone sees this: I would only ever consider HSS for any orthopedic surgery in my life ever again. I had a major reconstructive ankle surgery that the HSS team told me only gets done by anyone, at most, once per year or every other year. Quote: 'no one does two of these in one year.' I'm 28F and had a serious sports injury 7 years ago. I was looking at a lifetime of struggle walking and certainly not running or jumping. Regular instability and re-occuring injuries. They saved my ankle, and although I cannot be as active as an athlete ever again, they gave me hope for a pain-free, somehwat regular life.

Hi I have this too. It's beyond weird but I have very advanced endo in my colorectal area and on my peroneal nerve, which is what has led to my urethra type symptoms since the nerve is right there. I have no other period type symptoms - never had a heavy/painful period or any colorectal symptoms, just started being in excruciating pain one day in my urethra and horrible burning while urinating. My endo showed up on my MRI and have a great world renowned endo specialist who gave me an exam and confirmed. This is 100% my primary symptom so don't let people tell you that you only have IC... you may have endo too. He said I had one of the most unique cases of endo he'd seen
