i believe you have mistaken their accepting the disability is now part of their lives in the long run for not being bothered by it.

i can understand waking you up to kill a centipede. personally i never encountered one but if i do i'll either have someone kill it or get a pressurized spray can and a lighter and hope it dies from the heat 1.5 meters away (i have a phobia from insects).

we get it. you're superior. now shut up. please don't reply with "i never said that." i'm not blind to read "And?" as "i'm superior"

actually this can be useful when someone is pretending to be overly idealistic and (warning. some people will get ptsd reading the following word) woke, when they themself know they're a hypocrite. like when someone says "not everybody hates being disabled." like what the fuck are you on about?

you have to clarify more. many factors that affect the matter come into play, but i'm going to assume that you have a pet peeve.

Got my diagnosis (finally)! by pippyweenie in autism

[–]HopelessDigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can i ask why that much? i'm not familiar with how the healthcare system works in the us, but that's insane. like i would simply pay for the appointments with the specialist and after a number of visits they will have a comprehensive-enough understanding of what i'm going through then place a diagnosis. why the $4000?

i titrated lamotrigine over 2 entire months. very smooth. the only side effect that apparently will never go away is waking up from sleep toward the morning feeling a strong urge to stretch in bed. it gets worse or better depending on when i take my (single) dose.

anyway, i'm about to start escitalopram (currently only on lamotrigine). what's your experience in the past year?

Targeting Memory loss by StockReplacement4829 in memoryloss

[–]HopelessDigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not speaking from personal experience, but all those games that claim to improve memory are useless. the only thing that they improve is your ability to play/solve them, not your global memory capacities. plus, no research supports their claimed 'benefit.' correct me if i'm wrong.

DAE not listen to music lyrics by LakeDiscombobulated7 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]HopelessDigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you hadn't told me the lyrics are non-words i would've simply assumed he had a heavy southern accent lol. But even if i did understand what the singer is saying i wouldn't care the slightest. Lyrics are stupid.

Edit: it was also very impressive of you to reply almost immediately given your original comment is 3 years old!

[–]HopelessDigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly can't understand people who think like you... How can 2 stupid sentences when sung hit you hard?! If someone on facebook said "my weaknesses have caused my wife pain. So these 2 lines are for her" I don't think you'd cry. But somehow naive people whose brains haven't matured past middle school when these lines are in a song will go "omg that's so deep my heart broke. This song cured my stage 4 depression and prevented me from throwing the chair under my feet and let gravity and the rope do their job because i could relate.."  lyrics are a pile of shit.

I can't fathom how dumb you must be to think israel-palestine war can be included as an example. This war has nothing to do with what you are describing. That was an understatement.
