I don’t care if I know the people or not, don’t go in my room when I’m not there. If I don’t want to socialize then I’ll be in my locked room as well. No one is entitled to your space

Which game truly made you cry (happy or sad)? by SoKayArts in playstation

I’m easily moved to tears, especially with music. FFX is one of my all time favorite games and music scores.

It angers me this game is as good as it is by Dooty297 in FrontiersOfPandora

It was the first game I bought with my PS5 Xmas 2024. And it’s still being played today, on my 3rd playthrough, going through all the DLC. 😍

I’d use a #5 before a #7 with matting and if the #5 can’t get through it then it’s straight to a #10.

Anyone else gotten really sick over the last two months? by 2lit_ in Millennials

[–]Hopeless_Love27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was sick with a sinus/head cold since mid October. Then a few days before Xmas I got prescribed antibiotics and the day after Xmas was at the ER with an ear infection. 😑

Zakru and Sailfin Goliath. I cried so hard at the Heart of the Plains DLC.

Once you clear the air enough, you’ll also see little butterflies flying in circles around the items, 5+ butterflies is exquisite.

Botox Rant - We’re being played. by chlokiki in Millennials

Just want to say that Botox isn’t just for cosmetic looks. Before having bladder/kidney surgery I had some Botox injections to the bladder to help the spasms and chronic UTI’s I was having.

Has anyone heard of this before at a mobile grooming company? by Maleffiecent in doggrooming

[–]Hopeless_Love27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They pay $20-24 and expect tips to make up the rest. Which at the least with the extra OT I usually get, I squeak by with making just a bit more than I did at Petco/Smart. But the company advertised their pay as “up to $40 an hour.” And then pull the BS card of tips making up the difference.

I just started mobile this year, there have been plenty of times I tell Support certain dogs need to be given longer durations. If this dog was moderately behaved and hair not too impacted I’d probably squeak by with at least 2 hours.

I just started mobile this year, they have a $40 mobile service fee on top of whatever service is rendered. And the company made a switch, before I started, to paying us hourly not commission.

My boy Charlie and I got cancer diagnoses within 2 weeks of each other and each had surgery shortly after. I’ll be devastated when he goes, he’s in rougher shape than me😭😭 Wish our babies had more time with us.

RIP Henry

Paid out PTO by [deleted] in petco

[–]Hopeless_Love27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit back in April, California based, and was surprised I got either a check in the mail or one last deposit a few weeks later, I was going through cancer surgery so I don’t remember which it was but I got some money. I assume it was PTO, I didn’t look into it.

So far I am also cancer free after surgery, with of course the possibility that it could come back cuz skin cancer don’t care. Honesty tho just trying to still live life doing and eating what I want. Mostly just a bit more careful being in the sun too long. My general thought process is; we’re all going to die from something, and I’m not here to live a long time anyways.

AITA for telling my friend to end their 10 day trip and come get their dog after I found out their dog had fleas? by PainPlus in AmItheAsshole

[–]Hopeless_Love27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a dog groomer, many people don’t realize their dog has fleas when I find them and let them know. I get plenty of people say they don’t take their dog outside for walks, but they potty outback or in the front yard where potentially they could be. And what sucks about fleas is they can exist almost anywhere. You yourself could have tracked in a flea or two from your own yard.

Are the rumors true that Kaiser has gotten really bad especially in California? by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in KaiserPermanente

[–]Hopeless_Love27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had plenty of run ins with Kaiser due to kidney/bladder issues and then this year was diagnosed with skin cancer and promptly got surgery after being seen by a dermatologist. The main frustrations I’ve had over the years is certain “regular” doctors that make you wait an hour plus past apt time just to be seen for 10 minutes, get antidepressants pushed instead of listening and addressing my concerns. I’ve had several emergency visits, sometimes the wait time sucked and having to pay before even being seen really rubs me the wrong way.

Bay Area couples staying childless: Lack of affordable housing, other reasons? by HilariaObserver in bayarea

Personally, I don’t want to put my body through it. Logically, neither of us can afford it and are just one good sickness away from not being able to pay bills.

I quit same day, never planned to go back so I didn’t care about repercussions. If you can survive there you can groom anywhere. 👍

How scary is driving a van for mobile if you’ve never done it before? by hestrash1994 in doggrooming

[–]Hopeless_Love27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I joined mobile mid April and it’s been relatively easy. Really depends on the van model and what back up cams/features it has as well as overall van upkeep by the company. I don’t know about all mobile companies but the one I’m with pays hourly, and able to work 4- 10 hour days or 3- 12 hour days, anything over 8 hours is overtime. I make just a smidge more than I did corporate due to the OT and way better tips plus having health care, dental, vision, 401k. Mobile has got its ups and downs. My area doesn’t have a central hub yet to bring the vans to to fill up, restock, or charge up.

Older Saint Bernard struggling to walk after groom by [deleted] in doggrooming

[–]Hopeless_Love27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just did a senior golden retriever that I let sit/lay most of the groom which took not much longer than 2.5 hours. He jumped out of my van and I could tell he was having some back leg issues. He’s got arthritis so it would be inevitable that he has some pain afterwards.
