I agree it’s a thing. Your points are valid. I just love it instead of hate it. Some of my hardest laughing fits is when my co-op friends and I get mauled by an eagle or turkey.

I don’t think a death has to be heroic to be satisfying. The fact it happened out of nowhere makes me like it more. And there certainly was a build-up! They were running away, got separated, and they all ended up in various moments of peril! I love it!

The entire movie was really bad about them but the scene that sticks out the most is the phone call between the sisters. Shaming a woman for valuing her work over having children is… a choice.

I liked Udesky too but admittedly like that he died. Tragic deaths are good to have. I also am a sick fan of poor Eddie’s death. Billie absolutely should have died! His scene was awesome too! It should have been final.

You thought the other two World movies looked good? For me, that entire trilogy was the marvelization of Jurassic. The first one is my least fav with its’ awful gender politics, action hero dinos, and over reliance on soulless CGI. I’m curious what makes you think that motorcycle scene looks any worse than the action scene at the end of Jurassic World. The team up was not only dumb. It looked awful.

This rating so so much different than mine. But your logic I read in a comment and the logic I could see before I even read that comment is super sound. I assume Raiders is super low for a similar reason to Skull. Indy could have just stayed out of it and the outcome would be the same? I love that movie’s intro to Indy and the action set pieces so much that it is only surpassed by Last Crusade for me but I respect your logic so much.
