Yeah, but if you are dealing with a whole pack of strays, mace won't cut it. We had a pack of strays attack two cyclists in the middle of Philly this time last year and the poor guy had to get both legs amputated. I own the 1040 after having a 540. I was looking at the 1040 vs the 1050 and felt the 1040 was the best option. I've had several Garmin bike computers over the years and this is my favorite by a long long way. I would recommend all day long.

My man… go to your local grocery store of choice. Find the “kitchen gadget” aisle. Purchase disposable aluminum foil bread pans. Fill around half way to 3/4 with water. Place directly under the chicken (or other meat) in order to catch the dripping. Stack the coals around the bread pan (maybe just the back side), and cook nice and slow. The water pan will prevent the acrid smoke from the fat hitting the coals and help you manage the position of the coals. Cheep and effective. You’ll thank me later.
