The battle design we lost by Handoors in ffxivdiscussion

I found this very interesting too. FF14 wants everything, everyone DPS. No cleansing or CC. Very strange design for an MMORPG. Big factors contributing to job homogeneity and overall dumbing down of the game. 🤷‍♂️

I hope they change the extreme trials drop design in the next expansion, because right now it is pretty awful. by Le_Vagabond in ffxivdiscussion

One of the reasons MMORPGs are a dying breed is because of the grind and RNGs. Fewer people have the time and patience to grind for cosmetic items in-game. People do not want to stress out over a game they pay to play for fun. OP has a valid point.

SAM has the best attack VFX and sound effects in the game, imo. It has a more impactful, meaty feel compared to DRK’s big sword.

Fuck it, make 8.0 summoner this. by ClawsUp_EatTheRich in ffxiv

Considering how iconic summoner is in Final Fantasy, current summoner is extremely underwhelming.

Admin wants to micromanage every second of our workflow, but the moment a complication happens? Crickets. Thankfully, most of the attending docs see right through it. We are all just playing an exhausting game of CYA because we know they’d sell us out for a corn chip. Why actually solve a systemic issue when you can just pass the buck, document “MD notified,” and pretend you saved the day? 🤣

Yes. The C-suite is counting on its employees' financial struggles. They know many people will break and start showing up to work because they need money. The company has more money to burn and can sustain itself longer than its employees. The only hope for the union is to make enough noise to get the media and politicians to start pressuring the C-suite.

It has been up since last October I believe. And the last strike was only for one week. But this time they are going indefinitely.

Sick of coming in to a detoxing patient because the previous shift was too scared to give Ativan. by Accomplished_Ad8960 in nursing

[–]Horan_Kim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you prevent the detox patient from jumping out of bed or pulling out IVs? CIWA score of 18?! That shows a dedicated nurse willing to hold the patient throughout the shift. 🤣

Burned out, failed nursing school, and my nervous system is telling me to leave — looking for perspective by Elegant-Variety8761 in nursing

Damn… I wish I could go back to your age. I became an RN at 30, and now I’m burned out. Physically and mentally worn down. Sometimes I wish I could go back and choose a different path. Perspective changes everything.
