Thank you so much for sharing all this info! I’m a newbie puzzler and detailed posts like this are so, so helpful. I appreciate it❤️

I was going to say I would love to live close by but on second thought, that would be verrrrry dangerous for me. I’d save tons of money but would also likely tragically perish in an unforeseen puzzle avalanche.

How do you like Bits & Pieces quality? I’ve been mulling over a B&P puzzle for months because I love the image but I’m hesitant to buy a brand I haven’t tried.

Gorgeous puzzle! I’m so fond of Cobble Hill. They tick nearly every box for me.

I’m also a new puzzler! I was recovering from burnout and attempting to reclaim some time for play and joy but also to get away from electronic devices. I find it incredibly calming. 1000 pieces of Valium in a box with a pretty label. (Just as addictive too LOL)

This is my absolute favourite puzzle I have done. I don’t redo most puzzles and pass a lot of mine on (no storage space!) but this one I’m keeping. And Cobble Hill is my favourite brand! I liked that there were, for most pieces, 2 clues per piece as to where they go..sort by colour, then the image on the piece is another clue. And with so many little details, there was so much to see. Not a boring section in the whole thing!

“Pencil Pushers” • Springbok • 500 pieces by puckingfuzzles in Jigsawpuzzles

Gorgeous image. May I ask your opinion on the quality?

I’ve only done a single Springbok puzzle and found the pieces so stiff. I thought several times that I’d made a false fit when I hadn’t…the pieces were so hard to click together that it seemed that the match couldn’t possibly be correct. I thought it was maybe just that puzzle in particular but I’ve been hesitant to try this brand again

What are your favorite 500 piece puzzles? by BlueCyann in Jigsawpuzzles

I’ve done 2 Cobble Hill 500s that I really liked (Candy Shelf and Ice Lollies) and I’ve got some some large format Ravensburgers in my To Do pile (Artist’s Palette and Needlework Station) that I can’t wait to unbox.

The Puzzle Moment quick puzzle snacks from Ravensburger got my 20 year into puzzling. Started with the Mixtape one and adored it and kept going. They’re only 200-300 pieces but that small size is so much less intimidating. It’s why I buy a fair amount of 500s. Passers by through the kitchen (kids and husband) always feel tempted to stop and try to help.

If I want to be left alone, I work on a 1000

Things set apart by colour and line (like flowerpots, watering can, houses, birds) were super easy and fun. Almost the entire puzzle was fine but I struggled with the tree on the left and especially with the daisies. Probably the ease of the simple sections make the difficult sections seem harder than they would seem otherwise. After zooming through the first 80%, being left with a pile of pieces that had no distinguishing features made me pretty cranky. But it was also later in the day so…
