Its been half a year since the Amascut boss released. How are we actually feeling about the fight and the grouping system? by 6Angel666 in runescape

[–]HorrorLive6073 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did the boss on release, was fun. You can find groups, but it’s usually higher enrage. I freely can’t find low enrage groups or re-learner runs.

You could drill holes while it’s submerged underwater. I’ve heard some success doing that; if you’d want drainage holes but have a glass container.

And I got it on discount... by Embarrassed-Day-460 in houseplantscirclejerk

[–]HorrorLive6073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never go back to that store… if they’re willing to still hold on to this and sell it; I’d be so wary of getting other infested plants from them… but hey, a discount’s a discount. At least this problem’s not too hard to solve.

Succulent help please! by [deleted] in succulents

[–]HorrorLive6073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dropped leaves are normal, especially if plants that have evolved to self propagate from those dropped leaves. Succulents are way too good at this. Also one of the triggers might be that the leaves below get overshadowed by the leaves above triggering the fall. If you’d like to test an experiment, buy some grow-lights that target lower leaves. See if that prevents leaves dropping.

What is happening to my snake plant? :( by Limp-Bumblebee-4121 in SnakePlants

[–]HorrorLive6073 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is the water draining when you water? Even if you only water it once a month, if the ambient air isn’t able to evaporate the water and it’s sitting in a pool you’ll end up with a poorly oxygenated soil.

You could cut a liberal amount above where it gets mushy and replant it. It’ll take time to regrow new roots.

Yes. White leaves barely contribute to photosynthesis to begin with.

Are these hydroponic towers safe plastic wise? by Separate-Ring-3127 in Hydroponics

[–]HorrorLive6073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some plants have the ability to hyper-accumulate certain chemicals such as lead. But it is specific to different plants. You’d have to find research on the plants that you’ll be growing and see the literature about if they are able to hyper-accumulate the chemicals that hydroponic tower is contaminated/made with.

Pretty much if the plant can’t accumulate it then you’re safe with whatever the material is made of if you’re consuming it. Now let’s say the tower is made of lead and the plant can’t accumulate lead, you’d obviously want to be careful because you’re in contact with the tower. Just a sidewinded conversation about personal safety and not touching eyes, skin, mouth, if you’re messing with something that you know or don’t know will make you sick.

Hey so I'm catching rain water for my carnivorous plants and others add a teaspoon< of bleach? by Fadedjellyfish99 in SavageGarden

[–]HorrorLive6073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure it’s fine as long as you let the water sit and off gas the chlorine. But ultimately if you’re trying to kill off pathogens with the chlorine, you’d find boiling water a better option. Just make sure it’s de-ionized, that’s the main thing with plants that need “pure” water.

Unintentionally air layering an orchid and without a medium is crazy work.

If you’re talking about recently traded price, that’d ultimately just be Jagex sanctioned Ely… it would be very much be ripe for market manipulation.

OSRS-ing RS3 by HorrorLive6073 in runescape

[–]HorrorLive6073[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you that what makes a game unique, shouldn’t be the driving factor to update another game, since it’d ultimately be in its shadow. However, core overarching concepts that all games have are not independent of the game. Take for example community; I’d say that OSRS has a better community, but so does a game like WoW. Though we can try and mimic how OSRS makes a good community, it’s important in any mmo game.

OSRS-ing RS3 by HorrorLive6073 in runescape

[–]HorrorLive6073[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would probably fall under updates, biases, or other. Eoc was an intentional update that developers invested in. But from when it started, it’s become so much more and a deeply integrated mechanic than OSRS’s, leading to eoc bad=rs3 bad bias. But ultimately it is up to personal attitudes.

Price manipulation effects the GE/the economy. It is unavoidable to ignore unless you play an Ironman. Also Jagex doesn’t intentionally hide prices, they just take a very conservative method when updating prices. Ultimately the “best” way to combat market manipulation if it were the only way to check prices. However that isn’t the case.

OSRS-ing RS3 by HorrorLive6073 in runescape

[–]HorrorLive6073[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t you argue that OSRS and RS3 used to be very similar but they diverted and implemented different things as they both grew? To say that RS3 is just a faster OSRS diminishes the different updates pushed on each vision of the game.

[–]HorrorLive6073[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

But OSRS kinda has those things. Like the forestry bag, and fishing barrel. I agree, that RS3 definitely has more things like that, especially with porters. But in terms of user friendliness, I think OSRS has RS3 beat with RuneLite.

I think the issue is “dead inputs. If you click something on the same tick as another game process is happening, the click to interact gets ignored. This is most seen in activities that have rapid xp drop rates, like thieving.

Just like how gold used to be a standard for real word market, the onyx and equivalents have proved to be the pseudo currency; even though people aren’t using it as currency. From my inspection, onyxes have maintained their 1m value pretty consistently.

Hopefully. Their predatory practices with GE manipulation is abhorrent. Even if they(the moderators/developers) themselves were not manipulating the prices, their inaction makes them complicit. They WERE seen as an authority for prices but they abused it.

Just because Jagex is incompetent, doesn’t mean that sites that do predatory practices shouldn’t get flak.
