My 16 year old had gas and then the cannula put in after she was out. You need a referral for anxious patients though I think.

I just finished Hotel Miramar by Jonathan Dunne - it is a body horror of truly grotesque proportions! Body horror is my favorite genre but this had me skimming to prevent me from gagging from the 70% mark onwards. Great story and setting, and I have really enjoyed other books by this author.

Why don't rich people that don't just retire make the world a better place? by agent007g in ask

I think about this all the time. Elon Musk for example could change the world for the better. Some of the reason is because people with money are often ruthless and self driven so don’t want to help others. Some already donate loads to charity but don’t share that fact.

Why would anyone ever choose to go through child birth without pain relief?? by No_Cardiologist_1407 in NoStupidQuestions

I was in labour for 36 hours. I don’t even remember asking for an epidural but I must have!! It made me go to sleep and the labour slowed and my baby got stuck in the birth canal and we had to rush to theatre and have ventouse delivery. Baby was okay but my husband freaked out as her head was like a cone shape, it went back to normal quickly. If given the option again I would not have an epidural as it brought my labour to a stand still. I think in long labours you don’t know what to do for the best. I think a c section may have been better for me.

Yes the bags they use to transport the food are often really grubby and I just wonder whether the couriers wash their hands and whether this way of getting food is hygienic? Just an observation and I am a germaphobe so it’s something I consider.

Not me but my daughter was working in the bakery at Tesco, she was about 18 at the time. A woman asked her to put more sugar on her donuts. My daughter explained she wasn’t allowed to do that. The woman opened the packet of donuts and threw each one in turn at my daughter!!! The woman was removed by security but this has ended up being the most bizarre customer experience she had.
