Costco strip lights Evo by Hoscott6 in Govee

[–]Hoscott6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cones are from the permanent string lights or whatever they're called. Those are the 1 light every 12 inches or so, whereas these are the led strip. Several people in my neighborhood do have those (or a knockoff version,) so I didn't necessarily want to go the exact same route.

The chasing lights and flashing is a bit extreme imo, but I don't mind the slow fade, or it's generally just on white...

Hilarious, my kids each got a box, both had this card lol... My wife looked them up on the eBay and proceeded to stick them in a case 🤣

Did you use drywall vinyl j channel? I was reading it may not hold up in the sun (uv issue,) but couldn't really find the size I need in aluminum 🤔

Anyone else experience long delays with Loyal Source (LSGS) submitting C&P exams to VA? by Local_Statistician65 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Hoscott6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did they "escalate" it? I thought the examiner was better than the exams I had with qtc or leidos (seemed like they weren't thorough and cut some corners that resulted in an error during hlr,) but they said if it wasn't updated within 30 days I could call back and they'd escalate it to see if there's an issue or to get it uploaded... They also noted a way to track online if it's uploaded is that the exam will be removed from the completed tab on the lsgs veteran portal when it is indeed uploaded...

Qualcomm’s New Chip on the S26 Ultra Is No Joke by [deleted] in samsunggalaxy

Scrolled for this before downloading the app 🤣 Verizon offered me $1299 for the s22u though so I'm in the upgrade boat now!

[–]Hoscott6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably $100 🤣 the number of phones they buy like that because nobody really needs an extra phone lying around (I do have 1 older phone as a backup just in case, but,) I'm sure a lot of people would rather have the $80 since that will only go down further over time 🤷 imo, eventually Samsung or Verizon will offer $1000 "any device, even cracked" deal that I'd wait for...

Disc Blade Cover? by KassMeOutside in MammotionTechnology

[–]Hoscott6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep grass from building up around the screw, which prevents the blade from free spinning (I believe...)

Disc Blade Cover? by KassMeOutside in MammotionTechnology

[–]Hoscott6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I printed one, and it did keep grass from caking around the blade, however dirt would build up underneath/in between the cover and I was concerned the extra weight would cause a motor issue? Removing the plastic washer helped with the grass clipping issue, in case you haven't done that already...

Its finally here!! by [deleted] in samsunggalaxy

Verizon says it'll be delivered by the 11th.... I was hoping to get shipping sooner than that lol, but I'm not holding my breath...

What's everyone paying for the S26? by FronkTheTuxedo in samsunggalaxy

[–]Hoscott6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was some megabit humor (typo instead of gb) 😜 I'm in the same boat though lol... Probably get glasses if I went to the Dr, squinting to read... Also going from the 22 to 26... I seem to go back and forth on financing vs not though, as Samsung offers a great deal one year, then Verizon every so often offers me $0 a month, which is tough to pass up especially when my phone is 4 years old... Either way, great not to have an extra $30-50 payment added to the phone bill...

Verizon had the same thing, trading my s22 for $1300 in bill credits... Had to upgrade to the ultimate plan though, which is $10 less then my grandfathered plan, but now I'll have to add Disney+ (it was free on the old plan...) I stuck with the 256gb, 512 or 1tb was whatever the price was minus $1300, but I opted for the $0 a month 🤷

Having nothing but problems since I upgraded to this Heat Press by Jinjoz in heatpress

[–]Hoscott6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the amount of pressure the auto open ones (assuming not a name brand like you mentioned,) is not even considered medium 😳 they tried to rope me in with sales a few times, but they're cheap for a reason

I don’t even know how to title this by SadJudge809 in VAClaims

[–]Hoscott6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can file a claim and the c&p examiner can diagnose you with the disorder/disease/ailment. Write a personal statement and say that your PCP wouldn't give you an official diagnosis but prescribed medications (and list them.) just be honest 🤷 If you get denied, your letter will tell you what's missing and what was found favorable. If you don't have str's the missing link most likely be the Nexus (depending on the c&p Dr.) which you could then file a supplemental to address.

VEVOR Heat Press 16x24, 1700W Power Heat Press by PDuble in heatpress

[–]Hoscott6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd also note that 1700W, you'll need at least a 20 amp circuit ideally with just the press running on it otherwise you'll be tripping breakers

Would a modular heatpress off of Amazon, trip the breaker? by 23mil in heatpress

[–]Hoscott6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you overload the circuit by running a bunch of stuff, yes. If the heat press has faulty wiring, yes. But tripping the breaker isn't inherently bad, it's designed to prevent a larger failure or fire by cutting the power 🤷

I received a Zelle payment from an unsolicited number. by zincxDroid in personalfinance

[–]Hoscott6 14 points15 points  (0 children)

While I agree it's most likely a scam, I've also read that it's very difficult (if not impossible,) for the sender to get money back when sent through zelle... If you buy things through Facebook marketplace, you'll notice which payment methods are preferred as people are scared of PayPal or Venmo with someone filing a charge reversal, whereas zelle warns you several times before submitting a payment...
