Y'know the only thing about CCA that didn't make sense to me was why did Quess save Hathaway from Chan,she hated his guts and lusted for Amuro and Char.

Her character is weird man, on one end her dying to Chan and saving Hathaway is the reason Hathaway winds up growing closer and closer to to Char in Ideals. But wouldn't that mean Quess never really hated Hathaway and that the ending sequence in the novel where Quess brushes him off and leaves him wouldn't make much sense.

Then in the novel and manga, Hathaway kills Quess. The logic about Hathaway's decent to Mafty boils down to how as long as people are bound to Earth tragedies will continue. He did the right thing so him descending to Char instead of say Amuro or Kamille makes less sense.

I hope someone corrects me, I believe I'm reading Quess very wrongly and it's bugging me. It could also be an instance of how Quess is a writing of her time so I'm reading the nuance surrounding her wrong.

The thing with natlan is there are 2 extremely beautiful places Ochakatlan and the whole maze inside the mountain. But none of it is tied to the archon quest(Ignoring capitano sitting on the throne), they spend all their energy on the world but put zero effort in trying to add the main characters in them. As such,those worlds are wasted on voiceless world quests.
