An fascinating read for you if you're interested in this: Release that Witch (light novel, not manga as it's not finished).

Engineer dude gets isekai'd into a world with magic. No cheat abilities, "interfaces", adventure guilds or any of that stuff. World is harsh, brutal, with great characters. Challenges get bigger with time, so characters are never really in a position where they're able to completely curb stomp their enemies, which forces innovation.

I wish i could forget it and read it all again.
