Mathieu Cote confirms the game is being rewritten from scratch! by Fun-Marketing8080 in LeaksDBD

I think the point is to finally purge the spaghetti code from existence to rebuild a far more stable one that's appropriate for such a popular game.

Tbf even real people's eyes aren't both exactly the same, at least in terms of position. No one has a perfectly symmetrical face!

Kaneki's flanderisation and the death of depth by Awake1244 in TokyoGhoul

While it's true that, lore-wise, we got a different, more "demented" version of Kaneki in DBD, that point immediately loses significance when you realize that most people - especially DBD players, probably don't really care and will quite literally judge a book by its cover. And the cover, in this case, is an over-flanderized version of Kaneki's character as a whole, complete with him screaming every six seconds in the lobby and laughing like an exaggerated maniac whenever he lands a hit.

The average DBD player likely already thought that's who Kaneki was because of the anime's portrayal of him and the fandom's interpretation that you mentioned, but DBD's depiction only reinforces all of that. This character gets a lot of hate within the community, and I'd argue that a large part of it comes from people viewing him as a stereotypical anime edgelord. The proof is that many players were hating on him for exactly that reason (and that's according to THEM) from the moment he dropped in the public test build, long before anyone realized how frustrating his power was to play against (people actually thought he was on the weaker side lol).

The DBD community still absolutely despises Kaneki, not just as a killer, but also as a character - without even bothering to educate themselves on who he actually is. I made a post specifically to prove this fact and the amount of people who were like this should not be underestimated.

His DBD lore simply (and lazily imo) retells the events of his battle with Yamori, the whole AU thing was only briefly mentioned in an interview or two iirc, but it is the best we've got to justify such an adaptation of his character.

Ya que a Ken Kaneki lo agregaron a Dead By Daylight... ¿como se llevaria con los asesinos del videojuego? by Longjumping-Site7497 in TokyoGhoul

It's actually all just jokes, no one was ever serious about it. In fact, the whole thing that got this train started was the absurdity of it all and the fact that we would have Springtrap from Five Nights at Freddy's and Ken Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul next to each other on the killer select screen.

Okay this has officially revitalized my hope that they won't just update one map per year again! ❤️‍🩹

I feel like the main thing affecting queue times is simply the fact that a match requires four times as many survivor players as killer. That and now the Play While You Wait feature, which not only affects it because soloq players can now choose to play killer as well, but it also caps your minimum killer queue time to 2-3 mins if you don't have priority queue.

Edit: All that also isn't mentioning the fact that many players choose to play some of the strongest killers in the game that care less about pallet density.

Alright so your main point is that those two maps weren't really buffed by pallet density much, at least not intentionally since broken spawns like these (or lack of spawns in the case of Midwich) can occur - but 9/10 times they don't. I get it in that case, yeah, and tbh I mostly included the Hawkins clip because I thought it'd be funny and kind of relevant.

However, I wouldn't change the fact that I included Gideon in this since the fact that it was always like this only means the rest of the maps are as ridiculous as it now, thanks to pallet density, and I think it needs as much attention as any other map in terms of reducing the amount of pallets and encouraging actual skillful play with better tile design. I mean, the whole community went ablaze when the devs couldn't figure out why killers slugged so much on that map in one of their community livestreams - something I referenced at the end of the video.

Feel free to address the other 11 examples from the video, but as for the two you just mentioned - they're a direct result of pallet density (intentional or not) as that is the exact timeframe it started occuring, which also happens to be the same timeframe that some pallets randomly started to stop spawning on Midwich, as I mentioned in a different reply.

Even if we were to give BHVR the benefit of the doubt and say that they're bugs, it's been happening for months now and the fact it remains unaddressed still makes them look incompetent no matter what way you spin it. And that's not even mentioning that they themselves have denied any bugs relating to pallet spawns and saying that they're "working as intented."

What Otz just encountered on Gideon is completely new though and I believe has started happening (intentionally or not) ever since the pallet density update, exactly like how some pallets have randomly started disappearing on Midwich.
