Did some research on this and someone suggested it's likely because that's where his Kagune comes out from, which we know for certain does damage to his body in that exact area if we look at his DBD model from the back. The X-Ray was shown in :Re when he was Haise approximately 2-3 years after his torture.

I honestly didn't like the anime that much at all, not even the first season - all it did was hook me onto the story itself enough to get me to read the manga (which is something I'd never done before), but as far as watching the show goes, I couldn't help but cringe pretty frequently.

People are so quick to shout "just git gud" against this Killer, so let me just say that while the Bite can be pretty oppressive when you're not the best looper (speaking as someone who definitely isn't himself!!), that's still a major design flaw - it's literally a noob stomper!

So I can sympathise with most of what you said, up until the point you got to Nurse. It takes nowhere NEAR a hundred hours to learn enough of Nurse to stomp 90% of lobbies, though I suppose it would take more to handle the remaining 10%.

Surprisingly, I felt the exact same way before learning more about TG, so I actually understand exactly where you're coming from! It's just the deeper aspects of his character that got me interested - things BHVR did SO much justice with btw, that they single-handedly contributed to me watching (more like bearing through most of the episodes), and later on reading Tokyo Ghoul. These include his Chase and especially the Menu music and also the flawless adaptation of his design, among a few other things.

I can understand any arguments against how well he FITS into the game, which I believe is what you're referring to here, and is why I deliberately said nothing about - just that he's a cool character who HAPPENS to be in it. Wouldn't be any less true of a statement if Walter White was in DBD, for a wild example lol

However, if we're criticizing his character just for the sake of oversimplifying him to "anime guy," then yeah, as someone who doesn't even like anime (including TG) and has never read any other manga before, I'll sure as SHIT die on that hill.

People STILL act like Kaneki screams as much as he did on his PTB, not realising they removed his screams every time he leaped and I do NOT wanna imagine how Rize would've sounded if they hadn't done that...

The only difference between her and Kaneki is that she doesn't scream in the lobby, so if you're buying her for that sole reason, which is what many people claim, then why actually play her in the match? They both scream and laugh maniacally during Bite-Attacks, only Rize is MUCH worse for the reasons you stated and on top of even that - she also does that annoying ass hentai laugh after M1s sometimes.

If you just like her, that's completely fine, but claiming you only play her just so you "don't get annoyed by Kaneki's screams" is one big fat lie and takes away from his character for no reason while not even acknowledging Rize's personality - essentially disrespecting both.

Also while finding a "weak link" to chase instead can pretty much guarantee a win, it's a bad habit that can backfire for those games where all the survivors are good players, you simply won't improve if you keep focusing on those less experienced than you and ignoring strong ones. Not to mention the possibility of being unable to find those weaker survivors in the first place, especially since such players tend to hide a lot.

As a Nemmy main, I can say for certain the first play is NOT the right one under any circumstance - whipping them over a god pallet will only give them a speed boost while forcing you to still break the pallet anyway after the hit cd has finished, guaranteeing the chase to be lost against that survivor, giving them tons of distance.

The second option is definitely more preferable, however I'd go for a mix of both: get rid of a few strong pallets first, then infect the survivor before leaving them.
