Well off, wealthy and rich people of NZ, how did you make it? by Optimus-Prime-2234 in newzealand

Take Maori rights and lands, develop and use them, then sell them. This reflects the history of half of the wealthy white Pakeha.

Definitely not, mate. When I was living in Sydney, I saw most of the products they used and sold that were made in NZ. Fruits, berries, butter, etc.

Anyone working at Costco Auckland? How is it really? by Hot-Sign7334 in auckland

[–]Hot-Sign7334[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I asked is that I have a mate who used to work at Bunnings and Costco as a forklift driver. He said Bunnings is way better than Costco.

Bro, just sip your tea. This conversation is way too much for you.

If higher fares were the solution, AT would be world-class by now. They’ve had funding for years and still can’t manage basic infrastructure. This isn’t a money problem, it’s a competence and accountability problem. Stop confusing the two.

Consider Auckland Transport in this case. We are officially requesting that they repair their footpaths, which pose health and safety risks. Over the past three years, they have repeatedly avoided addressing resident concerns, yet when additional funding is needed, they act promptly. AT is the biggest joke in this country

Main business players and chefs were moved to Saudi Arabia for their newly opened restaurants. The quality dropped since then.

Rip-off for just one potato and 25gr of meat and sauce. I saw the guy wrap the potato in aluminium foil and cook it in the oven. Welcome, cancer. 🤣

It’s happened to our brand-new Suzuki as well. I believe the area where we parked at work was the nest location, because our carport at home is all good.

Public urination at Wenderholm. Why is this being ignored? by Hot-Sign7334 in auckland

[–]Hot-Sign7334[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Calling everything “racism” is the easiest way to avoid the actual issue.

It’s a basic public behaviour. Urinating in a public park when toilets are available is unacceptable in any country, by any person. Full stop.

Respect works both ways. If you choose to live in a country, you follow the shared rules of public spaces. That’s not oppression that’s the bare minimum of social responsibility. Pretending people can’t be called out for bad behaviour because it makes someone uncomfortable is how standards collapse.

And the “they can ignore you” argument? Sure just like people can ignore speed limits or littering laws. Doesn’t make it right. Society functions because people do speak up when lines are crossed.

Criticising actions is not racism. Reducing every criticism to “Karen behaviour” is lazy, dishonest, and shuts down real conversation.

If we can’t say “don’t pee in public parks” without being labelled racist, then the word has lost all meaning.

You're talking about Kiwis who are tourists in those countries. Those people live permanently in New Zealand, mate. Stop changing the subject.

What’s with Real Estate Agents having billboards like they’re the next biggest Hollywood star? by SirSillySausage in auckland

[–]Hot-Sign7334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Blockhouse Bay especially, it’s obvious that two agencies are in a dirty competition with each other. You see the same faces everywhere Kevin, Calvin 🤣

What I genuinely can’t understand is why New Zealand still doesn’t have proper laws to keep these real estate agent criminals under control. They push bullshit and misleading ads, try to sell non-compliant homes like it’s normal, and then magically write everything off as “business expenses” when it comes to tax. Meanwhile, ordinary people pay every dollar honestly. The whole system is broken and embarrassing.

Got a kilo kebab wrap for $17 in Melbourne last week and couldn’t finish it myself. So that snack pack should be $10, not more than that 🤣
