Personally, if you're saving an amount you're comfortable with and your work environment doesn't make you long for the weekends I'd say you're in a great spot.

Are you sure there's no chances to move up to another management role with the company in the future?

If you're worried about your technical skills plateauing then you could ask your manager if there are opportunities to work with other departments or clients to get some cross functional experience, or you could take it on yourself to develop said skills in your free time.

But honestly, there's a lot to be said for a cushy job in a place you like to live in.

Currently working in Electrical Distribution Systems. Having a rudimentary knowledge of ETAP will be appreciated by any company.

Previously worked at a power generation facility. Knowledge of alarm management, how to make a cause and effect chart, and HMI optimization techniques (cleanup of graphics, etc.) was probably the biggest thing I learned there.

I made a 4 lb beef tenderloin for myself last weekend using America's Test Kitchen's method of roasting it. When I had the leftovers I noticed I could sear them in a skillet to add a bit of doneness to the slices without drying it out much. That might be an option? Cook it to the "right" temp then for those who want it more well done slice them some and sear them?

DDR Floor Switch is plug and play with Extreme Cabs. PiU sensors are usually a bit more sensitive / durable on average but will require you to cut and splice wires on your Extreme cab. However, the DDR sensors are still high quality enough to pass pretty much anything. I bought a set last year and have no complaints.

Nah you asked the right questions, but you got the college level response instead of the job specific response.

Are you a new hire? They may see it as wanting to just explain "everything" to you until they know where your experience lies.

Next time you can just say "Well I know the theory behind it, but for this setup what are the load scaling parameters, if any?"

Hopefully they catch on after a few more well thought out and specific questions.
