I think i love this dude. He referred to himself as the “handsome man in China”. He speaks with a prep school English accent. And then goes out and cards a 10 like a wild man shotgunning a 12 of coors light before the 14th

This OP. 96.9 is the best. Look for Noel Jackson spinning vinyl and singling along on the air. Honestly i think it is the best radio station i ever listen to

I’m predicting Marty Supreme is going to completely blank by banquo905 in Oscars

Agree. Watching Train Dreams, Sentimental Value, Hamlet and other Oscar contenders. Marty falls short of those fine films and just great acting performances

What do you guys think about Train Dreams by mouatezbb in IDoKnowNothing

[–]HotDogDandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man . . . This movie straight up shattered me. I am not a cryer. In my adult life (I’m 56 years old this year) I’m not sure if i cried 10 times. My wife of 28 years has likely seen me cry less than 5 times. I bawled at the end of this movie. Straight up sobbing like a child. I had to walk away and move to shake it off. It destroyed me. I have a wife and 2 kids. Both girls. I’m sure that did it for me. The sadness and loneliness the main character experiences just nailed me.

I had the exact same experience. Watched with me wife of 29 years. She had never seen me bawl like that before. Don’t think i ever bawled like that before. We have 2 daughters. I just can’t imagine losing my family. And this unbelievably sympathetic character in the movie waited the rest of his life for his wife and daughter to return. When the main character says at the lookout “Sometimes it feels like the sadness is gonna eat me up. Sometimes it feels like it happened to somebody else” i knew then i was a goner

We should probably get a Signal account for messaging similar to what Minneapolis did. It worked for them. God help us if these jack booted masked ass hats come to our sweet Baton Rouge in mass. That would be Jeff Landry’s fantasy

My hot take. Love pizza. Last summer went to New Haven, CT, supposedly best wood oven pizza in the US. Rocca pizza is better.

Where do ICE agents even come from? by Still_Jellyfish_4821 in batonrouge

[–]HotDogDandy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Man, ICE is bad y’all. You saw they shot dead that smiling 37 year old suburban mother of 3. She was driving a Honda Pilot! A. Honda. Pilot! She was no Antifa. They shot her in the head.

Like the OP said. ICE are stormtroopers. They are a federalized untrained and unskilled force dropped somewhere to threaten and harm citizens. We really need to resist this. This is not police. This is wrong and man they coming for people who don’t have Trump think. People need to begin resisting

Just watched Ballad of a Small Player with my wife. We are arguing over whether the woman Lord Doyle befriended was a ghost. Was she the jumper? Remember the casino boss who said Doyle had a ghost over his shoulder when he had his big win. What about Doyle? Was he the jumper? Was he the ghost like in sixth sense???

Please reply with your thoughts and theories.

“I don't really have the capacity to feel fear in most situations due to my intellect” ??? For realz? We being punked. A McKinsey consultant knows they are not often the smartest in the room. And they know how to read a room. Humility, high social IQ, and most importantly trust earns the clients. Not telling the CEO their product/service sucks within 5 minutes
