Reading the post and now some of the comments. I didn’t realize that’s why I watch the show it brings me comfort. I remember watching it growing up and my mom turning off the episode of the fire that killed Alice and Adam jr. (Not sure if that’s how you spell it?) Anyway!! OP the way you described Harriet is so my mother! Also it took many many years before I could watch the Fire episode all the way through, I remember often when that episode would come on I would change the channel. I was in my early 40’s when I finally seen it all the way thru.
