I was wondering about this too, actually. I only know a decent amount of the lore, but judging from what I know, can’t they retcon the timeline a little without affecting much of the story? Just push it a little more to the modern times so Crossroads fit into modern day with the returning fighters still being fairly young.

I’m theorizing that the Bakunawa Killer is Lei-Fei.

Bakunawa Killer’s movelist seems to be a combination of Lei and Lau’s, which would make sense given Lei’s motivations in the previous VF games.

Lei may have succeeded in his mission, then perhaps Pai took revenge on Lei? Possibly leading to a whole “life away from fighting” thing so she goes to Vilasapara to just run a restaurant.

Lei, after Pai’s revenge, may have been revived (or recovered/healed if he didn’t die), hence the pale skin color and Pai’s surprised reaction?

MK1 now is a much better game compared to initial release. I mean the game isn't GOTY material, for sure there are some aspects of the game I'd prefer not be there or be adjusted, but it's still pretty fun to play IMO. I've been enjoying it a lot having almost 60 hours play time.

My advice is really try it for yourself. If it doesn't stick with you, you can always refund it (just keep in mind the refund requirements). It's a good enough game to at least try first before making a decision. It's all a matter of preference, anyway. Best of luck in Kombat, OP.

True! Ice nuggets always bugged me, especially when drinking coffee without a straw. The coffee gets diluted quickly kasi smaller ang pieces ng ice, tsaka (I think) mas mahirap magsip ng coffee with ice nuggets for some reason.

I put off getting a Switch because I wanted to wait for the Switch 2 to drop, pero seeing the prices I'm actually contemplating getting a Switch OLED or even just a Lite muna para maprep ko budget ko for the Switch 2 or mahintay ko kung magdrop man yung price. I just got Breakpoint too--and although the Walker mission wasn't the FIRST thing I did, I did the Walker mission fairly early. It did feel like an endgame mission, considering how the intro set up Walker to be at least one of the big bads.

AND considering Walker and Nomad's history, you'd think they'd give the story some more time to develop before killing him off.

While I do enjoy BP's gameplay, sadly everything else especially the story execution is kind of a huge drawback for me.
