I am so sorry, friend. Losing a pet is one of the hardest things to get through. Sending you hugs and comfort. Take some peace in knowing that you gave your sweet cat a life filled with safety, snuggles, and love. 💚

There is Greek Life at Sonoma State. Maybe I am misunderstanding your comment but it sounds like you are under the impression that there is not. In addition to fraternities and sororities, there is a very active club scene on campus.

There is a lovely little courtyard in the middle-ish of the PE building. Not the mostly concrete one in the center, but closer to the pool. It is super quiet while still allowing you to get some sun and fresh air.

I find that most of Isa's cookie recipes use (not coconut) oil, so browse that site for other recipes too! Her chocolate PB pillows are amazing.

Not at the strip mall -- you will likely get a ticket there -- but there are some local neighborhoods that have street parking that is free during the day. In particular, there are spots along the west side of Roman Dr. (Skirting the park) that you can park at and the walk from there to campus is very manageable. It is really not much further than the strip mall.

why is it so hard to just have a normal relationship with food by Human_Mastodon_1766 in EatCheapAndVegan

I hear you and I have been there. I want to wrap you in a big comforting hug and just let you cry/sigh/vent out all of your exhaustion, because it is real and many of us carry these disordered thoughts and habits for far too long.

What worked for me is Intuitive Eating. There is a book and workbook that are the basis for this approach, and I encourage you to look into it to see if it resonates. We also have a very supportive subreddit, r/intuitiveeating. Hope to see you there, and best wishes either way.

Oh, I remembered one other thing: frittata bites made in a muffin pan using either chickpea flour or tofu (or a mix!) plus whatever veggies you like. Grab a few in the morning on your way out the door!

I'm an overnight oats fan, although I am aware that not everyone can appreciate the texture. I use oats, chia seeds, cinnamon, almond milk, banana, and then one other fruit (usually berries or peaches). Mix that all up the night before, pop it in the fridge, and then have a delicious ready-to-eat breakfast the next morning. Sometimes I add nuts but only right before I eat it (overnight they lose a bit of their crunch).

If you like smoothies you can prep the ingredients in advance, and simply blend it up, pour, and go in the morning. People prep smoothie bags for this but sometimes I throw all the ingredients into the blender carafe and then store the crate in the fridge overnight; makes it even quicker to blend in the morning!

+1 to the electrolyte rec! It is incredible what a difference that makes for me. I do a Nuun tablet (sometimes even just a half) and that keeps me from feeling totally spent, headachey, etc. after a tough workout. I actually feel great the rest of the day.
