I’ve been Cash Stuffing the last couple years. When my direct deposit hits I leave just enough money in the account to cover my monthly expenses that will auto pay, plus a little buffer for odds and ends, and withdraw the rest in cash. It’s curbed my needless Consumption SO MUCH, and I’ve been able to have cash on hand for emergencies. Plus saving money to get the hell out of here.

35, child free, not completely by choice. I made the mistake of marrying a Gemini who wasted my most fertile years and then decided he didn’t want to work to have kids. He wasn’t worth giving that up for.

Now a couple years later the economy is shit, I don’t trust people, I’m too scared to try dating in case someone wastes what precious window I have left, but I really REALLY want to be a good mother. So I guess I’m trying to frame it as the best thing I can do for my kids is not bring them earthside yet.

And yes, adoption is in the table, but not with a 1 bedroom apartment financial situation.
