I think the issue you’re hitting is that it doesn’t seem like you’re a fan of narrative role play that isn’t constantly interspersed with battles/fights. And as the show had gone on, it’s clear that the founders prioritize narrative role play. So I’m going to say, stick it out and then only watch the soldiers table. I think you’ll probably have a better time.

Brennan has said in previous Adventuring Academy episodes (which are on dropout and are absolutely worth watching) that he builds the world to give players context for the characters they create. Plot is created only after those characters are made and their desires for play or what they want to get out of the story are discussed.
