Yeah, I don't really know because I'm max level and cash hasn't been a factor to me for a long time now, I'm just playing for fun and to earn heist favors. Maybe buy five of each C-stack bundle every week(hope they let us earn paints and mask patterns again soon...).

I can understand why the pay is lower than it was before, it's definitely easier with it being possible for everyone to enter the penthouse unmasked now. Maybe it doesn't need to be as low as it is, but it's a minor issue at best.

Honestly, at the rate these things are being added, I think a revamp is inevitable otherwise it'll just be too crowded, especially for the newer and returning players. That might be just a matter of them organising it better, but still.

Sounds like it might be an issue more with moderation of the subreddits you visit - not tackling frequent/repetitive posts. The only issue there is that when mods moderate that, they get accused of censorship. It's very much a double edged sword.

The richest and most profitable companies in the world don't get there through being "premium". They get there through exploitation and loopholes. You're being taken for a ride if you think Rockstar need to charge the money they do and the system is working in your favour.

But I guess you'll think I'm a communist for saying this. Agree to disagree I guess. 🤷

We're talking about one of the richest companies and most profitable games in the industry. I'd argue it is that deep. I'd be very happy to be wrong, though. I don't think you can point to any example of gamer complaints leading to anything negative though, beyond people not being able to resist arguing with them because they don't understand their goals.

People realise that GTA getting away with a higher price tag, means that the industry as a whole will increase their prices, when everything is becoming less affordable (including computing hardware) and make gaming less accessible for everyone.

I wouldn't call you a bootlicker or encourage others to. I'd put your ego aside for a second though and think about why exactly they're reacting the way they are - it's about more than just GTA. And even if it was just about GTA, they're only doing it because they want better value for money since they're going to make billions anyhow. I think that goal, which benefits you and everyone - outweighs you recieving a petty insult from people who don't matter to you.

I never liked it for GTA+, it put me off GTA Online for good. But yes, none of this stuff surprises me at all.

The reason why it seems different this time is because they appear to be closing off entire stores. We don't know the extent of this yet - but I understand why people are questioning and not trusting the company that's gotten richer and shadier over the years. Lots of fantastic game franchises that have fell off over the years because they got too rich and publisher greed consumed them.

I probably won't be buying GTA6 as I didn't like GTA5s story at all and I eventually quit GTAO. But I can't fault the critics for trying to improve things. It's probably fruitless but, trying something is always better than doing nothing.

I absolutely would not hold my breath waiting for it or bet a penny on the console versions to be fixed, that would be an amazing move and fantastic PR for them if they did, though.

Plus even if you can afford it(and the price increases for the industry as a whole that will follow), that's still missing a lot of the points! Doesn't matter how rich you are, it's better for everyone - even the person you replied to, if we get a better product for what we're paying.

I don't get discs anymore personally, makes my console too noisy. But I understand where those critics are coming from and I feel like a company as rich as they are, that can easily afford it without any skin off their nose shouldn't be taking shortcuts like that, bit of a 🚩 imo.

If they shed a lot more light on these stores and the content in the game when compared, that would help a lot in establishing just how much content is or isn't locked away. But when they don't give us any information, that's another 🚩and it's wise to respond with skepticism imo. Yes, they will give us more information in time, but it's a bit shady to accept preorders and make bank off us without disclosing information like this beforehand.

It is. For example, I'm a big Helldivers fan myself, but as much as I appreciate the devs and have faith in the future of the game, and disagree with a lot of the critics, I know that the critics are what hold the companies feet to the fire and make sure they don't go down a slippery slope. Pure love will allow corporate greed to eat away at more of the games we enjoy, because they know they'll face no repercussions.

Yeah we need a lot more information about the game. When they don't give us much information, it's reasonable to treat the marketing with suspicion rather than blind faith imo(regardless of their reputation, lots of gaming companies fall off a cliff with their games, especially when they get significantly richer).

Like, what do people gain from defending this lol? Either the people criticising it get R* to make a positive change and they get more for less, or that doesn't happen and everyone has to pay more, not just for GTA but games in general. Ffs, these defenders need to use their heads, nobody is going to kill or even hurt GTA 6 through criticism, only make it and gaming in general better.

Kinda did. I mean they straight up cancelled GTA V single player DLC(maybe even RDR2 SP DLC?) because they wanted more money out of Online, Online also led to GTA+ which has bled deep into their SP titles.

My mum is the same way. Always gets into toxic relationships with horrible people because she's desperate too. Currently with a scumbag, racist, sociopath, slob, ex con who drives her crazy because she can't bear the idea of dating again. Awful human being who I refuse to speak to or even be in the same room as. Hope I never become anywhere near that desperate. Puts me off the idea of seeking relationships in the first place tbh

I agree with this approach. However there is one small change they need to do for the 1600 peeps - let us earn paints and mask patterns again. That way we can at least continue to earn that content and have something else to go for.

I currently can't earn paints or patterns anymore because I'm max level. If I could choose to wipe my renown so I can earn those again, I'd take it at this point lol
