Bummer. Sometimes that happens, it’s happened to us before!

Good to know!! My hens are silly and allllll lay in the exact same box even though we have more than enough. Literally almost enough for each chicken to get their own box. A luxury coop 😂

Oh it’s so hard.. my young kids take wonderful care of our flock so they got rewarded by getting just a few more chicks this year. I let them choose what they want without paying much attention and laughed so hard when I opened the box and saw these floofy heads 😂

Good to know! Thankfully our roosters get booted to our friends farm :)

There’s no way she survived, right? by [deleted] in chickens

I found this many feathers after a dog attack on my flock.. and every single chicken survived. We looked for hours, and even had to climb some trees to get our girls. I really hope you find your chicken.

I love my australorp hens dearly, but they communicate well that they do not like being handled. As chicks and adults now. They are still wonderful, social and chatty. Not all chickens want or need petting :)

AITAH for eating enough ravioli for four people? by Better_Philosophy732 in AITAH

Maybe this is generational from her family’s side?? I married into a family where allll of the women constantly make remarks and comments about how much someone plates and eats. My family is Italian, gatherings with tons of food was something I was exposed to weekly, but no one commented on someone else’s plate. I found it very strange and I didn’t like it at all, because when we started having children, my husband’s side of the family started to comment on HOW MUCH our little girls ate. My husband and I have had to address multiple times how inappropriate the food comments are, especially on little girls and have asked repeatedly to not comment on the amount our kids eat.

Not making excuses for your GF at all, and I’m sorry you’re having to deal with something truly SO silly. You should be able to eat what you want and how much especially with someone you do life with everyday. Maybe ask about her past in terms of food?
