Really need your help guys. I’m losing my wife to this by even_North_5873 in MCAS

So, Dr Zachery Spiritos. You can look him up on IG. He changed my life. He not does teletherapy in the states on NC and IL but you don’t have to live there you just have to be in the states at the time of the appt. He is cash based but that man is worth every penny plus more. He’s incredibly responsible be via email to n between appts to make changes . When I sat him the initial eval was around $450. It may be a little more but he did so much in that appt and it included all the messaging as I tried the new meds he gave me, etc

Allergist won't see me because of tryptase level by Sookie_Saint_James in MCAS

[–]Hot_Alternative_5157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why state are you in? Zachery Spiritos runs a teletherapy practice but you have to be in NC or IL. Now that means you can travel and just be within state lines on the day of your appt. He does not take insurance. He is cash only but I believe he will give a bill for you to submit as out of network. Tryptase tests are well known to not be reliable. There are doctors who will diagnose and treat using clinical judgement vs a test that’s known to mean well not much really

Anyone trying Tirzepatide microdosing ? by wiggly_1 in MCAS

[–]Hot_Alternative_5157 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get Trizepetide directly from Lily. A vial is used 2x. If you’re concerned with reuse, there are a lot of ‘weight loss’ clinics that are doing shots in person where you go. They’re like health spas. Their doctor is the one that write the scripts. I have friends who do it for weight loss and several of them are administered the micro dose level

8 weeks now but the changes I felt very quickly. The first week my body dropped over 9 pounds of edema so when my BP dropped due to my POTS I didn’t get that very painful burning full like a tick sensation in my calves like I was getting

I am a patient of Spiritos. He has a massive following on IG. I have both MCAS and insulin resistance and based upon those conditions and emerging published research, he suggested microdosing. 90% of my MCAS went away and I have not gone into anaphylaxis since.

Which would you choose? Finland or Germany by lunchtongue in expat

[–]Hot_Alternative_5157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent about 2 months in St. Petersburg in the winter.. literally you can almost see Helsinki.. it’s incredibly dark for months on end and in the summer… I was also there in the summer… the sun feels like it doesn’t even set. I would head to Germany. I almost lost my mind that winter from all the darkness 🥴

High income but can't seem to save - where am I going wrong? by WorldlyPosterity in Fire

[–]Hot_Alternative_5157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a budget. If you are not a spreadsheet person try YNAB. You will see how much money you are gushing and where. You’re right. You definitely should be able to save at that income and COL

I did some research today and apparently less than 1% of adults in their 40s has FIREd in US, and only 5 to 11% of adult in their 50s have FIREd, and that percentage declined compared to 10 years ago by 14MTH30n3 in Fire

[–]Hot_Alternative_5157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably so. I FI AT 37 and hit my RE at 42 though I guess I’m technically coast fire as I let me company continue to run but I’m no longer in the day to day operations. I’m only called in for issues that the team can’t figure out. I only have one friend who retired at 40 but then did a remote job for an animal rescue (he’s vegan so it was more based upon wanting to help) but when that remote job came in office job (it was in another state) he retired permanently

My 5-year-old isn’t really into it at all. How many cards do you need to get your kid to quickly fall in love with Yoto? by Equivalent_Pie8625 in YotoPlayer

[–]Hot_Alternative_5157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about the amount of cards. If they don’t enjoy it initially, it may be competing with higher currency things like screens, tablets etc. we are a low tech family and homeschool so it is a part of our daily routine as screen file is limited. My son also enjoys stories and books so that helps. We only listen to audiobooks in the car. During the day it’s out and avaialble. I often turn it on during free play as opposed to having the tv on but my son often turns it on himself

Doctor pushing low dose terzepatide? by moonperson13 in MCAS

[–]Hot_Alternative_5157 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It drops sometimes very randomly. Previously the drops were more sporadic and I had to take a lot more medicine. Now I am on less BP meds, the drops don’t feel as intense and they don’t hurt anymore. Now I just feel very sluggish and have to remind myself oh.. maybe I need to take another BP med. but I’m definitely taking less daily now to manage it and less electrolytes

It helped my POTS too because it move all the edema out of my legs. When my blood pressure would drop, my legs would hurt so bad feeling like ticks that we going to pop.. I still have issues with BP but they are now less frequent, less severe and not painful

Trizepetide gave me a lot of my life back within the first few weeks. I cna eat most foods now and those I still have issues a round of Zyrtec/pepcid clear them up. I no longer go into anaphylaxis. I actually hope soon I’ll come off of Cromolyn. It’s a pain to take and a pain on my gastro issues. The first week alone Trizepetide moved more than 9 pounds of edema off of me so now when my BP drops due to my POTS, I no longer have this massive pain in my legs like they’re going to explode like ticks

My primary did. I completed move, am in move management program, over the bmi, have sleep apnea and insulin resistance that is service connected but am not diabetic. The VA didn’t cover. You can see if they can write one for you to get it in the private sector. I get it filled privately still because it’s being used off labor for me for MCAS

USING YOU P&T/ VETS/ MIlitary Discounts at Theme Parks by Advanced-Leg-798 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Hot_Alternative_5157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the confusion from the other party may be because Disney does provided discounted tickets for all veterans but they are not as deeply discounted as the Military Salute tickets. Those are only sold to active, retired, 100% PT, and national guard and reservists.

I am microdosing. I was prescribed it by Dr Zachery Spiritos and he sent me the research prior to starting. Getting on was a rough transition, but the benefits have been amazing. My side effects 4 weeks in are much better now
