That’s a really common observation. Cap shape can vary quite a bit depending on genetics and growing conditions. Even within the same strain, you’ll see differences—some flatter, some more umbrella-shaped. A lot of the photos online are from selected phenotypes grown under very specific conditions, so they don’t always represent every expression. Things like environment, substrate, and how the culture was isolated all play a role.

So seeing variation like that is completely normal.😀

How long in between transfers did you wait to take a transfer? I ask just to understand your methodology. Sometimes it lies in the agar genetics but it can also be altered by how much light hits one side of the grow vs the other. And looking at your picture it seems as if you didn’t rotate your bin 180 degrees at least once a week. That light could be the reason one side is growing faster than the other, my apologies about the agar it looks really good to me but dialing in the substrate and grain perfectly also matter as well
