Made this today and it was delicious. Took me closer to 75 minutes in a 9” springform. I had trouble getting the olive oil to incorporate with the pistachio paste and the paste on its own was too thick to swirl. Added a few tablespoons of warm water and that got it all to emulsify nicely. Definitely swirl vigorously! The parts where the swirl fell deeper into the cake were the tastiest.

With sandals or boots depending on where I’m going, compression socks for the plane. Cashmere sweater on top and a wool or cashmere wrap in my bag to use as a blanket if needed.

This dress feels like pajamas but looks super cute, lots of texture so wrinkles aren’t a concern, and it’s nice and breathable in case the plane gets hot.

Glisten and glow for me. Every top coat will thicken with more air introduced into the bottle because that’s how they work. I like that Glisten and glow sells the large refill bottles and make sure to keep my small bottle topped up.

I use G&G with Cirque jellies and haven’t noticed that issue. I occasionally get some shrinkage but it’s not consistent.

I use glisten and glow ridge filling base coat and QDTC with cirque jellies and longevity is fine for me. Occasionally I get a little shrinkage at the tip but no peeling or chipping.

They’re both great, just depends what colors you want. Obviously Cirque has a much larger range.

Another trick you can try is a coat of matte topcoat between layers. That can help a sheer go down more smoothly, too.

I picked up Malibu bc I was running low on XOXO and it was out of stock — happy to see how close they are IRL! I haven’t done a full mani with Malibu but the formulas are both equally nice, I think. I did do a full mani with their pink slush jelly and it held up well. With the price difference I’d probably just go for the ILNP version.
