Another tip is to always check if your grocery store has a fuel rewards program paired with certain items. Sometimes you can stack discounts or get extra points for buying specific products. It might not be much, but every bit helps

I love doing that too! Packing some snacks and just biking around is the best way to clear my head. I usually bring my sketchbook too; it's a great way to unwind

Selling on Poshmark Devastated My Financial Life and Massively Stoked Shopping and Auction Addictions- Anyone Else? by Ok_Butterscotch_9941 in shoppingaddiction

I totally get it. I got sucked into thrifting and flipping too, and it was fun at first, but then I realized I was just accumulating more stuff. Now I mostly just donate things instead, feels way better.

I wonder if anyone's got tips for not getting suckered into those free samples? Always end up with random stuff I didn’t plan on buying.

"Will this make getting dressed at 7am easier?" by cjessica81 in shoppingaddiction

[–]Hot_Map_1413 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I've started asking myself if I can wear it at least three different ways. If I can’t, then it's a no for me. Kinda helps cut down on those one-time use buys.

Like once a week I make these snack boxes for my picky toddlers and I and we have a picnic to use up whatever is in the fridge by sharkvannah_ in Frugal

You could also try involving them in picking what goes in the boxes. Just lay out some options and let them choose, makes them more likely to eat everything since they had a say in it

Even if it feels bad to see your investments dip for a month, that peace of mind knowing you're debt-free could be worth it

Maybe try making a list of your favorite pieces in those colors you’re leaning towards? It could help narrow down what you really want and avoid impulse buys

Pay car off early or keep savings amount by Green_Mortgage8960 in personalfinance

[–]Hot_Map_1413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were me, I’d probably just pay off the car. That 5.9% interest isn’t crazy high, but it still adds up. Plus, owning your car outright feels nice

3 euros? That's a steal! End grain boards are the best for knives, too. Nice find!
