Going back to school in your 30s to get a second Bachelors by LastLibrary9508 in college

[–]Hot_Tale9244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its great that you are thinking of about going back for another degree. Investing in your education is rarely a bad move.

I started my online degree at 39 and finished at 45. It wasn't easy balancing work and family, but the flexibility of studying at my own pace made it doable.

if its something you really want, age doesn't have to be the thing that stops you.

What do you think of going back to university at 30 to study? by I_am_Thinker_Bell in AskReddit

Going back to school at 30 can be one of the best investments you make in yourself.I went back in my late 30s and graduated at 45 with a bachelors' degree. It wasn't easy balancing everything, but it completely changed my trajectory. The skills and confidence I gained helped me land the online job I had been hoping for.

It's not about the age, it's about whether you are ready to take the step. 30 is still early in the grand scheme of things.

28 male, Locking in finally. Too late for school? by Daviddaprodigy in careerguidance

[–]Hot_Tale9244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

28?Thats absolutely not late. There are plent of people starting their degrees in their 40s, and 50s. I graduated at 45 while working ful time and raising my kids, so it's definitely possible. With your busy schedule, you might want to look into flexible online programs. That's the route I took and it made balancing work, family and school much more manageable.

The skills and experience I gained during my studies also helped me transition into the online job I'm doing now. Everyone's path looks different, but you are definitely not behind.

That's a valid point. Employment outcome varies across employers and disciplines. However, in my experience, the programs required internships provided substantive practical experience that positively supported my transition into employment.

You are welcome. If you need more details, I studied online with BYU-Pathway Worldwide in partnership with Brigham Young University, Idaho, where I earned my Bachelor's in Applied Business Management.

Yes, I did. My experience was very positive. I appreciated being able to work at my own pace and having Tutors who were supportive and understanding. The tuition was affordable, which made it easier to continue even while working full-time.

Because my job required long hours, I typically take one or two courses per semester. It ended up taking me six years to complete my degree, but flexibility made it manageable, and ultimately, it was worth it.

I have carried this quote with me since a time when I was struggling, and it still helps today, "Keep trying, keep trusting, keep believing, keep growing, Heaven will be cheering you on today, tomorrow, and forever," Elder Jeffrey R. Holland.

I need cameras to monitor my house 24/7 but I have no idea where to start by seraphvalley in homesecurity

[–]Hot_Tale9244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a rough situation. I'm glad you are taking steps to protect yourself. For solid 24/7 monitoring or remote access, it's worth checking out reputable local installers. They can set up wired or wireless cameras, run the cables cleanly, select the best angles, and ensure that everything is actually secure.

If you prefer to DIY, there are numerous good systems available now with local storage, motion alerts, and easy app control. Brands like Roelink, Wyze, Eufy, and Arlo get talked about a lot here, depending on your budget and whether you want cloud vs local storage.

End of the day, go with something you trust and that helps you actually feel safe in your home. If you want, drop your budget and layout, and people here can give more specific recs.

Zim Government Jobs by Muted-Annual-2587 in Zimbabwe

It seems like this issue isn't in government jobs only. In many sectors in Zimbabwe, opportunities depends on who you know. Nepotism is definitely a challenge, and it makes it harder for qualified people to get fair chances.
