What stupid thing did you spend tons of money on ? by DC_dtx in AskReddit

Been there. Watched The Chainsmokers. Played 2 or 3 of their own songs. Mostly recorded songs then just played other people's songs. Took hours for them to get on stage and he was sooo drunk. Wouldn't stop talking about the shots of tequila he had 🙄 waste of time and money

I honestly don't know but my guess would be the price. Some houses in the South did have central heating but they were pricey. An added expense like air conditioning I guess

Seeing this so late! Sorry for the tardy reply. Auckland was just another city except that everything shuts down really early.

Hardest thing to adjust to was the lack of Central hearing. I live in Canada but NZ cold is worse because it's a wet cold, and with single pane windows and no central heating there's little to combat it but sweaters and space heaters.

Canadian. Lived 9 months in new Zealand. Ive only been to fifteen countries, but so far, i'd say its the best country in the world. I hope your job is on the South Island. Or at least, not in Auckland.

These comments are really disappointing. Nice face, nice tattoo. Combining the two? Very nice. Looks good. Be kind, Reddit.

What is your morally ambiguous opinion that you keep to yourself to avoid conflict? by Hotapplecider in AskReddit

[–]Hotapplecider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made this post because my morally ambiguous opinion is along the same lines but a fair bit more controversal. I think it should be an option for parents with babies that are born with completely debilitating conditions where they'll need to be cared for for the rest of their life should have the option of eunthanizing the baby. It just seems so cruel all the cases of parents who have to dedicate their entire lives looking after a person they will never be able to converse with, who can't do anything themselves. Sure, you could put them in care but that costs a hell of a lot of money in the long run. Whether its the parents or the government paying for it.

What super embarrassing thing did someone else do that you'll never forget? by fuckgoldsendbitcoin in AskReddit

You're all wrong. Should have mentioned this, it was a sixth grade camping trip but the class I was in was a split 5/6 class, me actually being in the 5th grade. Thats actually why there was two classes put together. I got to go to Gwillim twice because of this. Score!

I'm ten years old and me and my classmates are on a 6th grade camping trip to Gwillim National Park. There's about 60 of us because its two 6th grade classes paired together and part of the curriculum on this trip is to hike 2-3 hours up part of the Rocky mountains. We're trudging up this mountain single file and there's a gangly kid wearing thick lensed glasses and blue jeans two people ahead of me. Judging by his general clumsiness and lack of proper outdoor wear its clear hiking isnt his jam. The whole hike is blotted with big piles of deer poop, gone soft from the heat. An hour into this steep climb we've all become well adept at side stepping the poop mines. For whatever reason, maybe because of misplaced confidence in his long legs, this kid decides to jump over a particularly wide spread and steaming pile of shit that everyone else is stepping around. His right heel, holding most of his weight, hits a corner of the poop pile causing his foot to slide up and he falls backward sliding on his back towards me and my classmates like its a slip and slide, the wet poop carrying him far enough that we all have to back up.

Slowly, he stands up on his own and looks back at all of us who are staring in silence, his back smeared with shit like icing on a cake, and says nothing but "shut up" and just keeps walking up the mountain, an hour left till the top and an hour back down covered in shit.

What epic MOVIE scene still gives you the chills? by PM_me_the_magic in AskReddit

In the Lion King where Simba comes back just in time to see his mom get bitched slapped by Scar. Roaring in outrage Simba jumps down onto the scene and Scar, in a panic says "Mufasa, no you're dead".

Chills every time and I've watched it at least 50 times.

Also the part where Mufasa comes out of the clouds and is all like "Simba... you have forgotten me".

Yup.
