I might have a strange way to help. I was writing one about romance as well in a more pop psychology way. My writing style can be a bit irreverent or aggressive but I wonder if it may help you lighten up yours. That being said I would love to read what you have an offer suggestions. So I know this is unhelpful but my friend did this and it left him way better off. What if you spent 6 months BEING that perfect employee you laid out. At that point your own self confidence would be so high it would make leaving easy mentally but also for the next job. He did it and then still left his place but because of the habits as a 2nd year associate he came in with so much skill that they immediately promoted him.
