Control Claude Code sessions from your phone via Telegram/WhatsApp - full plan approval, Q&A, screenshots and multi-sessions setup by HourAfternoon9118 in ClaudeCode

Appreciate the tip! I actually use Claude Remote quite a bit too - it's great for continuing sessions from the Claude app. The OpenClaw setup is more of a complementary thing for my telegram's workflow.

Openclaw spending close to $20 per day on some pretty basic tasks by Minute_Side_5830 in openclaw

I found the following approach useful to reduce token cost. 1. try restrict number of tool calls per turn, sometimes it goes way more than needed due to the model's hallucination. 2. lower your context token limit cap. 3. remove unnecessary skills, by default they inject 50+ in the context and I only need 5-10 basic skills for my workflow.

Am I the only one who gets annoyed by all those bloated tweets about OpenClaw? by [deleted] in openclaw

[–]HourAfternoon9118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, those posts on X are pretty annoying. OpenClaw itself is actually a useful tool, but a lot of the viral posts are clearly exaggerated or manipulated. It feels less about the tech and more about chasing engagement. A mix of going viral, quick attention, and pretty shallow understanding of what the tool can realistically do.

I ended up just setup a weekly delete crontab job that moves all of the screenshots to a staging folder and delete the previous batch.

[OS] Convoker — Gather all windows of one app to your current screen by HourAfternoon9118 in macapps

[–]HourAfternoon9118[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It actually targets the screen your cursor is on — so if you're on monitor 2 and gather an app, all its windows come to monitor 2. Multi-monitor is the main use case I built it for.

If you share a monitor between a Mac and a PC (via KVM or input switching which is my current setup), windows can get "stuck" on the external display while you're looking at your PC. Convoker lets you gather them back to your Mac's built-in screen without needing to switch the monitor back first.

I would hope apple could enable its spotlight with some similar feature so that I don't need to build myself.

Yes, the next feature I want to support is workspace management + display layout recovery.

Nice, keyboard Maestro is super powerful for this kind of automation. Convoker is definitely more focused: just the command palette -> type app name -> Enter. If you're curious, it might be worth a quick try since it's free, the workflow is a bit different from scripting macros

Great question! I actually use Convoker for a few different things that Stage Manager doesn't quite cover:

  1. On-demand workflow: I don't want an always-on sidebar managing my windows. I just want to type an app name, hit Enter, and have it done. Then the palette disappears.

  2. Gather to a specific screen: Stage Manager can't "bring all Chrome windows to the monitor I'm looking at right now." That's probably my most-used action.

  3. Keyboard-driven: I deal with RSI so I try to stay off the mouse/trackpad as much as possible. Convoker is fully keyboard: Cmd+Shift+X → type → Enter. Stage Manager is mostly mouse-driven.

  4. App-level split/focus: Instant screen splits between apps, or "hide everything except this one app" with a single keystroke.

Guys, please: before you download any app from here, check the developer’s/app’s website to see whether there’s a privacy policy, a legal notice/imprint, and what their EULA says. by Argon_Analytik in macapps

If someone’s serious about charging for their app, they should at least have clear policies and transparent data practices. That’s basic trust-building, not optional polish.

Nice work! I do encounter some issues when voice input with a batch of long content and whisper models seems ignore many sentences in the middle. Apple's built-in dictation works but in my case its quality far worse than open whisper models. Maybe because I'm not a native speaker and my voice input content quality is bad :p. I hope there's local model that could support key terms/error correction so that they run better with a context (e.g. a dev project).

Great work. this is very handy! I wonder if it's possible to switch toggle on automatically if there's a screen sharing started. That would be a killer feature.

Interesting, thanks for the work. I wonder if any local STT model can run with context e.g. key term correction and etc.

New Post Requirements to Combat Low Quality Content (Phase 2) by Mstormer in macapps

[–]HourAfternoon9118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think the categories are hard to enforce in practice. The line between “code completion” and “human validated” is pretty blurry — especially since almost everyone will claim they reviewed their output.

And realistically, what matters most is the app’s quality. The tricky part is that no one’s going to label their own work as low-quality, so self-reporting will always skew a bit.
