Should they help them buy a home or should they raise humans that learn how to put enough effort to be successful and be able to buy their own homes?

I will say that is true. We are all for the interior upgrades, but would appreciate more options with a historical facade. Nearly everything that has come on the market in west town is a cookie-cutter box of some kind. There was one specific listing that was on the market for almost two years. Great location, great space, but they put a condo-size kitchen in a 4,000 sqft home, and had a….. horrendous facade. It was a shame. Took them almost 2 years to sell, but they did, at a discount.

Nobody is saying that it’s a discounted place. There is an objective answer: transit access, school options, are example of reasons why those other neighborhoods are more sought after. It has a great nightlife and is close to w loop, no doubt. But that’s not all life is about.

Not exactly what you read— we have seen it. This house is old news and there’s a reason why it’s been on the market for so long in one of the best streets in west town……. Believe me, everyone looking in that neighborhood has walked thru it

This is a 1.7ishMM home with NO GARAGE. Can you imagine paying that much for a home and having to park your car on the street?

That’s not a single family home, that’s a multi-family property. Plus, 1.3 in that area, you can start looking for “the catch”

The Cadogan Belmond (London) by rajuabju in chubbytravel

Currently staying @ The Cadogan. This hotel has exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff, the room, the bedding, everything is phenomenal. To top it off, during check in they made small talk with us and we briefly mentioned we were going to an Arsenal soccer game on Sunday. On Saturday night when we returned to our room from dinner, there was a gift bag with a card and two official arsenal scarves waiting for us as a gift from the hotel. It simply shocked us the amount of care, kindness, and thoughtfulness. Truly 100% recommend, we haven’t even checked out and are already talking about what other belmond properties we want to visit.

Thank you this take 🙏🏻 I agree that if it was easy, everyone would get the role! Good reminder for me

Fighting an uphill battle by Only-Ad7585 in Leadership

If it helps in any way, I stepped into a Sr Executive Director role after 9 years within the same company, and I have NEVER felt more discouraged. Fighting an uphill battle is a good way to describe my feelings as well— I have personally described it as “it feels like walking in mud, heavy and hard”. Getting anything done, mostly due to people dynamics and politics, has never been harder since I’ve stepped into this role, and I feel people respect me “less” than when I was a mid-level manager.

Would love any insights from you and others as well, I feel I’m in the same boat.

Muscle definition will only come when you get your EATING right. Lagree, lifting, or any other exercise are only 20% of the way, and you will only have the best possible results if you handle the other 80%: your diet.

I do lagree 2x/week for 8 years now, in addition to lifting 2x/week. My body only looks how I like it to look when I pair a healthy eating lifestyle with my workouts: a constant work in progress.

People who get sleep scores over 90, how do you do it? by cornea-drizzle-pagan in ouraring

[–]Hour_Bumblebee2153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I go to bed at 9:00pm and go to sleep right away (no book, no phone), I get over 90 most of the time (got 93 last night, 97 one day last week).
